I met quite possibly the most irritating man in the world a few days back. Ended up talking to him and his pregnant girlfriend. She was 36 and this was her first child after several rounds of failed IVF.

I had an ex who flatly refused to work- even when faced with my being unemployed. Utility shut offs, faced eviction and more.

At one point I had a full-time gig after the long stint of no full-time work and I was doing anything I could for income Uber, Lyft, side jobs, and was still falling short for monthly bills.

We spoke about it and I had asked her to get a part-time job, only 15 hours per week to help out. (She hadn’t worked in 15+ years)

Her response?

“I don’t want to do anything. You want more money, get another job”....

Keep in mind that at the time I was only getting 3-4 hours of sleep per day on average and worked 7 days a week yet she complained to friends and family about things were financially, that I was always tired and irritable, rarely around and more. She would also lie about money she spent (or got from whatever) and even sign me up for helping her friends, for free...all while we were choking to death financially.

My exhaustion and embarrassment over it all were used an accelerant for manipulation and seemed to amuse her more than anything else. There was zero sense of her wanting to pitch in, even the House was beyond disgusting- dishes for example were left in piles, either not rinsed or all sitting in water, food getting rancid and smelling up the place (very little of any other type of cleaning was ever done until it got super bad where our friends would say something.) who ended up doing most of it? Me.

Telling ya fellas...the marital laws need to be re-written to ensure we no longer get fucked over and a massive part of the population needs to feel what “equality” really means, not what their brain-dead college professors insist that it is....

You bust your ass to provide support because you love them and because you “provided a level of comfort and lifestyle” you have to somehow magically keep that up AFTER the marriage ends?

No prenup will save you. The system is fried and just like we are manipulated by it before we can even speak, so are the girls and the vast majority has become very entitled and think “equality” is having the upper hand.

“Equality” - what a fucking joke.

Some women, some where, will read this and somehow her fried logic board will compute:
