A couple of days ago a famous singer in Hungary, Akos, declared in an interview for a local tv station that he believes women's job is to belong to someone, to give him a child, not to compete with men. That they should not get equal pay. That all this equality is not normal.

As a reaction to this, I saw a lot of fb-posts on my wall about the telecom cancelling his contract over his comments. tdlr story: here. Now all of this is normal today, so I just skipped right passed them, without even reading them. It's just the way of the world today.

And then comes todays news. The Hungarian government decided to cancel all contracts with the telecom.

Context: the singer's, Ákos' words are just secondary to what Chairman of the National Assembly, Fidesz oldtimer László Kövér said on Sunday at the annual party convention:

We want our women to see birthing a child to someone as the epitome of self-fulfillment

In line with their conviction, the Hungarian government rewards families, rewards families that will have children. They defend the borders of Europe even when all of Europe blames them as insensitive bigots. The Hungarian PM Orban Viktor is quite controversial and he's making big waves, and through all the criticisms and backlash, and EU sanctions, he's not backing down, he's holding to his beliefes, he's holding frame.

And there you have it. There is still hope for the world. PC has run it's course, and people are starting to oppose it. Oppose it big time, and be vocal about it. Putin, Orban, Trump* (soon to be a reality from what I'm hearing). It's just the beginning.
