I used to be a management consultant and some of my clients would only allow us to use laptops that they gave us. Naturally, that meant I traveled to and from client site with 2 laptops every week at the airpot.

People would comment/give me looks all the time. I would make light of the comments with responses such as "yeah, certainly makes for inconvenient travel, haha" or something along those lines.

What you see here is a VERY insecure and petty individual. If people like THIS rise to leadership positions, then we are in big trouble.

Broads in STEM and I mean genuine STEM are almost non existent. I’ve worked with a few, but I can count them on one hand. Most of the “women in STEM” do mostly support tasks, basically a glorified secretary.

I mean if she’s not lying, I could see a situation where you might need two laptops. Some employers give you a laptop for work, and the program required only works on that individual laptop. So if she has two different jobs like that, she might need two laptops.

But more realistically, one’s a work laptop and the other one’s her personal Facebook machine.

If she's really using one for AI and the other for astrophysics then she's dumb because she could use one for both.

The only good reason to have two laptop is if one is for work and some dumb IT person set up a bunch of shit security that means you can't do anything non-work with the laptop. And if that's the case, then when someone asks you just say "one's for work only".

You don't brag about how your work is so cool and special and how smart you are to random people in the airport unless you're and insecure moron. Think about who you might be talking to:

TSA Agent: Why do you need to rub it in to some guy's face who is making $10/hour that you are so smart and awesome? Its just a dick thing to do.

Passenger with really good job: Do you want a contest to see who has a better job? If you're into astrophysics and AI then yeah you might make $100K per year, but lawyers, financial sector, etc all make more than you. So you might as well say "I am so smart that I work 2x as hard as you for 1/2 the pay!".

I'm not going to go through all the possibilities, but in no case is there a good reason to brag about how awesome you are to the people in the airport. It's stupid.

One is provided by company I work for, with access to client data.

The other is for my personal stuff.

I legally can't put our clients' data on my personal laptop, and anything I put on my work laptop legally becomes property of the company I work for.

1) Plenty of jobs require the employee to use a provided computer. It’s not unusual. Easy to see why someone would have more than one device.

2) So? Why does anyone need to justify why they use two different laptops?
