I just got out of a relationship where I was used. We all know that both sexes use each other, but I had a really good reminder of that tonight.

I was sitting at a bar with two women, both HB/8's. I was with one, and the other woman had a guy that she'd met the night before there with her. When the other guy got up to go to the bathroom, the waiter came by our table. The girl that was with him literally told the waiter to put the drink on the guy's tab if he hadn't already. Then, she expressed concern to her friend that the waiter might tell him that she did that, and hoped that he wouldn't. The guy came back and sat down. Later on, he got back up to leave. He went up to the bar, came back over, and told us all to have a good night. The girl was with him was worried about whether he had paid her tab or not, and I told her that I was pretty sure that he had. He had said, "I took care of you ladies" before he left, but they hadn't heard him. Then the girl said to me, "I'm not a terrible person, I promise." I said "Oh yeah?" She said "Well, I use people to get what I want sometimes." I said, "At least your honest... I guess?" She said "Don't worry, I won't use you for anything." I said, "You definitely won't after that." Her and the girl I was with started justifying it by saying things like "You talked to him all day, you deserved it", and "It's not your fault if he's dumb enough to do it." I said, "I think it's even worse when you have to justify it." When I said these things, I didn't say them with a judgmental tone, but with more of a "I don't care what you do, that shit won't work on me" attitude, and they didn't get offended that I didn't agree with their thoughts and behavior. I wouldn't have cared if they had, because what she did, and both of them trying to justify it was bullshit.

I left, and I was so glad for what I had seen. Both women showed me their true characters. In the past, when I've had thoughts that a woman is taking advantage, I've always given them the benefit of a doubt. I'm willing to bet I've been wrong 99% of the time. If you think they're using you, no matter how cute they are, how coy they act, or how good they treat you in the process, they are. THEY ARE. They will mold themselves into exactly what they need to be in order to get what they want from you. The next time you feel like you're being taken advantage of, take a close look at your assets, and resources, and you'll be able to figure out what they're after pretty quick.

My problem has always been not believing people could be so petty, or sell themselves out so easily, but they do at the drop of a hat. Their integrity is worth less than a bar tab on a Monday night. It's sad, but true.
