Exactly. It's not the score results that make the merit of a team.
All men know this, which is why loyalty to a team in bad times is valued.
The merit is determined by how the team and players interact proportional to the satisfaction of the fanbase.
I know some women would argue that this is hypocritical ... how can men say merit should be objective numbers and then say merit is a value determined by subjective feeling?
Here's the detailed answer: the score is used as a way of measuring value for fans, not for players. Players can be MVP by scoring more points, but those points are the results of not only playing a game but also the ranking of the game series itself.
Obviously, a Superbowl MVP is more valuable than a high-school playoff MVP, even if the high-schooler scored more points because the other team was lousy. Since men are better athletes than women on many measures: VOx, upper-body strength, endurance, then it makes more sense that people would want to watch male professionals rather than female "professionals" who actually play like high-school athletes.
You don't see many high-school ticket sales rivaling professional teams, do you?

There’s amateur men’s teams that are better than the women’s teams.
They can’t even kick the ball into the box on a corner. They rarely take shots from free kicks outside the box Cos they can’t kick it hard enough. They can barely get it out of the box on goal kicks. They shy away from headers. The pace is slow. There’s so many mistakes. Goalkeepers can’t cover the goal.
They really should play on a 3/4 size pitch with a 3/4 size goal.

There were situations where, like in England’s game yesterday, the ball was in the air and supposed to be challenged by numerous players, but they just don’t jump, they wait then miss-control it.
I think it was Raheem Sterling who had trouble controlling one in yesterday as the goalie got close yesterday. To his point, it was one of those tough ones to bring down. I would've liked for him to shoot it but after watching the replay he did need to pause a bit. Either way England was spectacular. 3-5-2 is a gnarly formation. Belgium as well with it's 3-4-2-1.

With one of the the drills, we attempted to get each participant more in tune with their personal space. The following is the information each student was primed with, prior to the drills.
Take a moment to fully extend your arms; from this position, rotate from side to side, like the prop(?) on a helicopter. This is your zone. Anything outside of it, you should visually be aware or, and, if you cannot see it -- you listen for it. Anything entering that zone should not be taking you by surprise, because through a combination of the aforementioned, you should be fully prepared to fight or flee.
Finally, when entering a new space (a building, a parking lot, a house party, theater, club, etc), you should be assessing each new environment. Is it dark? Is it late? Am I with friends? Am I being expected somewhere? Are there any foreseeable threats within this environment? Can I avoid it? Must I move through it? There was a bout of Q&A that happened here, and the women were great with providing examples of unsafe situations.
Anyways, with all of that out of the way, here is how the drill proceeded.
There were ~34 students, each in pairs of two. Each pair had a rubber knife. The groups are each provided a 9x9ft plot of the floor to work with. One stands in the center, the other student - the one with the knife - is encouraged to meander around the perimeter and periodically prod their partner with it (either on the left side of the body, the right side, middle of the back, or stomach/chest).
The partner being poked by the knife is to keep their eyes closed, but is allowed to open them once every five seconds. When they feel the weapon touch them they are to execute a basic check to the weapon holder's wrist, while shifting and dropping their weight--slightly forward/backwards. The check follows the wrist, into what we call a "wrap & roll."
So we're walking around, and the guys are, more or less, doing just fine; some of them are hitting the wrist too hard...no surprise. The girls, however, keep checking the hand on the knife, or the blade altogether.
Class was held three times a week, each class was an hour. That drill - and, all related knife work - ran for 4 months, which is 2 test cycles. The guys were ready for their first test. The girls were ready for their first test-- on their second test, and they were still checking and slapping the knife blade with their hands/wrist in the months that followed.
Total adult student population was approximately 73 strong, with 46 women and 27 men. The teen classes didn't center on weapons, but sparring. And the results almost always favored the boys. I don't recall the number of teen students, but it was more than the adults.

Male actors and professional male athletes thanks in a large part to female fans rake in far more money than their female counterparts so of course they get a bigger payout.
