Sorry for all this text. About a year ago a girl I was with for a very long time accompanied me to a party at a mutual friends house. It was awesome but I had to leave earlier than most for work the next morning, she stayed.

Fast forward a week things are still great and we go out on our whatever year anniversary date, come back to my place, she leaves the next morning nothing out of place.

About 3 hours later she texts me "I cheated on you at the party, we're done." As someone who's always had trust issues and severe depression and all that killed me. She even tried to make me feel it was my fault for her being a whore. Almost committed suicide over it all.

Spent basically every day since then feeling like I'm not enough, doing everything I can to please women, get dates, etc etc. Discovered this subreddit about a week or two ago and now I can't stop coming here like every day.

It's so weird to hear "you don't have to get married" ever since I was little it was just something that was expected of me. Now that I see I don't have to... Holy crap I feel so free and good about myself for once. Cancelled some dates and decided to take just myself out on dates and I honestly can't remember feeling this genuinely happy. I love myself way more by myself then I ever did with a girl. Thanks for the red pill brothers, you guys are great.

EDIT: WOW I did not expect this to get so much attention. Thank you all so much for your kind words and encouragement, I am truly blown away by how awesome you all are. With the money I saved from cancelling those dates I bought some books I've been dying to read, some art supplies to start drawing again. It may sound silly but I've always wanted to be a professional magician, she told me it was stupid and wouldn't make enough money, just got my first show in over a year booked. Love you brothers!
