This actually 'was' my life.

Well to be honest, my ex wife (who didn't work) wasn't fat or ugly, but she didn't bother with her appearance at all. I'd come home at 7pm and she'd be on the computer reading about conspiracy theories. Usually she'd look up and go, "Shoot, what time is it? I didn't start dinner. Shoot." She'd shuffle through the garbage on the floor in her dirty, tattered robe and frazzled hair to the filthy kitchen, and proceed to spend the next hour adding to the filth and turning out dinner that usually came with a "sorry, it didn't turn out very good" apology.

And you know what? I loved her, and supported her, and didn't complain, and did everything I could for her, and was faithful to her for TEN GODDAMN YEARS. Until she kicked me out because she wasn't happy with her life.

Once the shock died down and the depression and grief cleared, I realized that I got a get-out-of-jail-free card :) Now I live in an always-tidy, simple apartment with lots of light and lovely meals just need heating in the oven because I prepped them all my goddamn self on Sundays (the days she USED to drag me to her crazy ass church)

Married twice. While my ex’s never turned into this sloth (the 2nd one is getting there but it’s no longer my problem) my house did. I’m in my 50’s and have never known any guy who had a wife/girlfriend that ever kept a house, made meals, or did laundry. I’m beginning to think this “housewife” stuff is just complete bullshit.

I never required a slave in my house but I did want someone to participate. Done with all of that now.

Know what I find the most annoying about this picture {and the reality of it all}??? Cell phones and tablets are "go anywhere" in the house devices. They can fire up their TV show, you tube videos, etc and watch them while folding laundry. Stand it up in the kitchen to watch it while doing dishes.

Based on what I see in the picture, It would take 30 minutes to clean that up.

I was married for 3 years. At the time I was making pretty good money, owned a business, worked a lot... I've told this story before (how she ended up spending all the money, cheated on me and stole my credit cards because she "needs stuff for her new house" with her new guy. This was like 10 years ago).

Anyway, she spent a lot of time around the house doing ??? while I was at work. She would "do laundry" by putting her stuff in the washer and leaving it there letting it mildew and mold until I finally had to do laundry for myself, then I'd run her stuff, put it in the dryer then ask her to take it out so I could finish my stuff. She'd take it to the living room, drop it on a chair and there it would stay. She'd change from there, dirty mixed with clean until the process repeated. Weekly. For years. She was horrible at basic soft life skills.

Fun note, just saw an arrest report 2 days ago. Felony battery charge. She, apparently beat up her newest guy. She was never violent while I knew her, I'm sure there is a story to it. But I don't care.

I actually used to live in a haunted house. All that would happen was the TV would turn on by itself, even after being unplugged. It'd plug itself back in and turn on. I can deal with a ghost bro who wants to watch ESPN at 3AM. What I can't deal with is a hambeast that sits on her fat ass all day texting and Facebooking and leaves the house in a state like that. Ghost bro welcome, just don't drink all of my fucking beer.

EDIT: Additionally, this reminds me of quite a few people I know. Including my sister. This state of affairs usually begins as soon as the woman drops a couple of kids. Then all of a sudden housework is Herculean.
