It was less visible, say in the 50s, when men would make a lot more money compared to costs of living and they would have all day to do the dishes and a bit of laundry. Now that they want to "have careers", salaries have dropped down for everyone, and they can't do anything in the house NOR get a good position in their career. I think previous generations of women since the 2nd wave of feminism came were really just playing with ideas of total gender equality. They still kept their gender roles, kept their morals and played by a social system that all be it flawed in ways...worked pretty darn well. They began to cherry pick at areas of equality they liked but it wasn't a problem because morals and traditional values were still holding strong and people were mostly happy.

As we progressed through the 80's, through the 90's equality became real. We changed the workplace, politics, education....our whole world to favour women. Not only did we bring total equality we gave them advantage. With great power comes great responsibility. Today's women want the power but not the responsibility. They want to enjoy female privilege and give nothing back. They still want to enjoy cherry picking when it comes to ideas of equality they like and have been told they can...but that's the thing. YOU CAN'T and it's making them miserable...it's making other people miserable...it has an effect on society as a whole.

I am gen x women have always been pretty bad, but it is probably much worse now because of tinder/Facebook/instagram crap.
