Introduction

The Red Pill places a large focus on getting your head into the right Frame of mind to deal with the world you live in at the moment.

Guess what?

It's Fall, the end of the of the cycle of the seasons.

Body

Your body is effected by sunlight. In the Northern parts of America and Canada we are experiencing the period of time (roughly from the start of October to the end of November) when sunlight drops dramatically. In my area (Wisconsin) if you look at a sunlight exposure chart it's nearly a straight line downwards until in winter only about 35% of the maximum sunlight reaches the ground. It's dark, it's gloomy.

This will effect your mood.

Most of us have had a great summer with abundant sunlight, some drinking, possibly some dancing and some fucking if things went well, but even if you weren't fucking you at least enjoyed yourself. Great times.

But you can't chase after the summer high when you head into winter. I can remember as a young man in my first relationships where if you broke up in the Fall you really felt it much harder.

Why?

Because summer and love are "feel good" things. It's like you get addicted to feeling great all the time and when your girlfriend is no longer there (for whatever reason) and the sunlight disappears it becomes a sort of double whammy on your state of mind.

Conclusion

So what's the point here? What's the message?

Well, aside from taking Vitamin D (a good way to counter the dark nutritionally) your mental attitude is very important in dealing with the change in sunlight.

Embrace the fact winter has arrived.

Establish gloom as the new baseline, not the past high of summer.

Now from this new Frame it molds your perception so that things don't seem so bad. Your acceptance that you are going through the seasons and not fighting the season will make it better.

Next year is not far away...
