I recently posted on here about my struggle to be "surrendered" in the Laura Doyle sense of the word. There was a lot of helpful advice in there, but I've since had an epiphany about what my actual issue is and I still don't know how to best approach it from a RP perspective.

My man likes to tell me exactly how to do everything. I'll be cooking dinner, and he'll come in and tell me how he would do it differently (and then say I'm stubborn if I don't immediately convert to his way). The other day I was hanging laundry to dry, and he came in to tell me how I should do it instead, even though this is something I do all the time when he isn't home without issue. He's got many thoughts about how I should change my cleaning routine, though I assure you we live in a very clean house. If I say, "Well, I actually like it the way I've been doing it," it turns into a fight. If I try to push down my objections, my frustration builds up and eventually this leads to an even bigger fight.

(I think this dynamic comes from the fact that I was 18 and he was already out of college for several years when we started dating, so he still views me as a young girl who needs to be taught how to do basic things.)

I'm happy to let him lead in the big things, and even if something I feel is small is a big deal to him then I'll change to suit him. But it really feels like he has criticism of everything I do, and I guess I do want to feel like he thinks I'm competent enough to handle small things by myself. It hurts my feelings that he doesn't have faith in me. I feel like this is pretty ironic from a Red Pill perspective because I always see the opposite situation being discussed (the woman nagging the guy until he feels like he has no control). Meanwhile, I don't nag him or tell him how to do anything.

I've gently told him how it makes me feel when I feel that he is criticizing all the little things I do, and this does seem to help, but I've been wondering if this goes against RP strategy? Is there a better way?
