Barbershops have long been redoubts of masculinity. Bowling alleys, too, for that matter. My barber is a Sicilian guy in his mid 60s and like many old school immigrant Europeans has zero respect for what the West has become. He and I talk about things like respect for family and country and such. He had a "Marriage 1.0" until his wife died from cancer.

Over the summer, one of my out of town girls was in for a week and she came with me to the guy's shop. It was just the three of us, and I got my haircut and we went on on our way. The next time in he said, "So that's one of your girls?" and after I replied she was, he said, "Nice work!"

I'm 34, and always enjoy talking to older men (no homo, lol).

If they can see your enthusiasm and the authenticity of your interest, I also find they are pretty willing to talk to younger guys, if they can. I, myself, find pleasure in speaking to and trying to guide guys that are OP's age (I mentor a kid now, just turned 21).

Another wrinkle is that as a Black man, I find particular joy in speaking to older Black men. EVERYone should talk to them if they can, because a lot of these guys in particular are more likely to have seen and been through some real-ass shit, on TOP of the everyday struggles we all go through.

I do this with the young men I come into contact with while teaching. I don't directly tell them "Hey yo get on Reddit, there's a cool board where dudes talk about banging sluts." but I encourage them to think for themselves and work for themselves. I also tell them to give a shit about their physical health, something that usually surprises them to hear from a man in education.

Note: Most "men" in education are skinnyfat catladies.

How to not need validation from people you respect

Having the inner game, self respect, and passion to have a life course and not be knocked off by it, by the many hot women that will try to do it as you age and as you develop some RP habits (believe me the tests are coming, as you age and become more RP, hotter and hotter girls will test you, and that will get harder and harder)
And lastly banishing BP, white knight, philosophies about how men, loyalty and relationships work.

I like your post and I'm sure it was a good experience... But you didn't talk 'about rp' like you say in your post, rather you talked about how 'These girls fuck tonnes of guys get emotionally damaged each time'. You talked about women, and that is not even close to the same thing.

Not trying to be hard on you, at all. Not trying to question you. It takes balls to post so good job. But if RP is only about women being skanks, then we let ourselves off the hook. The truth is there for all to see no matter what. Think of it as wearing glasses. Red tinted ones vs blue... some let in more light (truth) some block off light (blue glasses for instance). It really just boils down to this wonderful thing they call perception, the same cliff is a lot scarier looking down from the top as opposed to perhaps the bottom up. Maybe just as scary but it sure as hell looks different. Usually yes, experience yields more truth, but truth can be taught and learned (ala red pill knowledge).

On the wisdom side of things making you seem older, yeah maybe.. intellectually. But if you had a baby face and physically/visually looked 19.. he would of said 19 regardless of what you had said. But might have mentioned you seem to be a lot more 'switched on' or in tune with things and smart for your age afterwards etc.
