When your Career=More Interest

Reddit View

Am I the only one who gets annoyed when a girl is suddenly more interested when she finds out about your career? I realize they see this as an opportunity to score big and get beta bucks. But am I the only one who loses interest in a girl when that happens? Have had it happen a couple times where she’s more eager to be in my life and she’s always revolving things around my career/career ambitions. Always gets on my nerves and usually ends with me never contacting them again. Just curious to see if I’m not alone in dropping that girl immediately or if anyone uses that dumb stuff to their advantage

On one hand it commands more respect, but on the other she's thinking of the dollar signs she can extract. Use your judgement wisely.

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--18 points19 points  (5 children) | Copy

Yah that’s basically why I get turned off. I always feel like I know in the back of my head she’s wasting my time. Which honestly if there’s anything I hate the most is having my time wasted by dumb stuff like that. But better luck on their ends cause I’m still broke thanks to not cheap uni lol

[–]throaway4000s3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Use it to root and boot but not to long term if you have any doubt.

[–]Dark_Omikron0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Its interesting to hear how outgoing the girls are you hang around with and asking these types of things haha. Makes it really obvious that they are kind of out for beta bux. In germany they would be more reserved i guess.

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

I live in the US and also go to one of the bigger state schools in the US. Generally in uni my group of friends aren’t always available and they aren’t all in my field. So I end up spending time with people I’ve know for a long while but am not very close with. They are their own click of people with their own weird click stuff. But I never really get involved in their crap and they never really involve me. But the guys in that group are seriously bp surround by mostly females in the 6-7 range. But you run into the occasional 8-9 range. The lower range are seriously the worser ones when it comes to this. The higher range are more discreet but they always have subtle undertone about them.

I’m not sure if it’s a US thing but some females are straight up with their annoying actions. Knew one of these girls who’d see me in the library and start shouting my name or aggressively waving at me. I hated that because she was crazy obnoxious and always drew so much attention. Even got to the point where I’d hide in the library to study alone more often. Yet I’d find some of her or her friends literally searching for me or other guys I knew. It was comical at first but so weird after time. Always shouting when they spoke to. Or constantly asking if I remembered them or remembered the nickname they gave me. Lol

[–]Dark_Omikron0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Lol what a "funny" bunch of people you run into... But thanks for sharing your experience :)

my close friend does law and gets laid like crazy. If your alpha and put your foot down and demand sex before you invest anymore women will give you sex.

[–]Senior EndorsedVasiliyZaitzev56 points57 points  (7 children) | Copy

I've had this happen. I have a good job, nice house, nice car etc.

Women are pretty good at smelling success on a guy, even if he's dressed in jeans and a t-shirt.

$$$ ups your RMV (but not your SMV) so might as well combine it with game and enhance your prospects.

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--15 points16 points  (5 children) | Copy

That makes sense. Although I’m still studying so I don’t have much money lol. I do drive a nice car imo. Been a project car since I was a teen and most my money is still spent on it. I do dress nice considering, which I know that turns heads a lot. I’ve also invested in good smelling colognes which I think everyone should. That helps leave an impression that I have wealth. I swear investing in a good cologne is so under appreciated. Leaves an impression for women, interviews, work, etc its also an easy ice breaker. If your on budget like me as a student seriously consider looking into finding your own cologne scent that fits “you”. Might hurt the pockets but you won’t regret it

[–]throwawayok27272849211 points12 points  (2 children) | Copy

Dressing well shows you care about yourself and sets the standard for how you want to present yourself. Just don’t be too flashy. It’s cool to have money but if you’re flaunting it you’ll attract the wrong type of attention. You never want to appear more successful than you really are. It’s a fine balance that comes with time.

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--5 points6 points  (1 child) | Copy

Yes I 100% agree. I’ve never been the type to buy an expensive belt or watch just because of the brand or “status” it brings. The kind of attention from doing that is so bad. Never mind the females. I’ve known the people who used to follow the flashy guy home and jump him. Also a lot of the time those flashy guys are the worst to talk to. All their personalities are is “wearing money”. I literally buy all my clothes from places like H&M and just mix and match a bunch. Keep it simple and still have the ability to change it up everyday. Much easier than the weird new trends out today. Even if you have the money don’t waste it on material like that. Use it usefully!

[–]throwawayok2727284920 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Exactly. It’s harder to steal a thousand dollar suit custom made than a thousand dollar watch.

Seriously. Save some money, in the summer before senior year get a custom suit with a few different shirts and ties, pocket squares, maybe two pairs of shoes.

Did this and had multiple women ask me if I was a suit model. Majority of men just get whatever’s on the rack and it looks sloppy.

[–]lakerfanforlife0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

What cologne do you use?

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

So currently have a few in rotation and I can’t remember them all but...

I’ve got a Dolce and Gabbana cologne that has always been an eye catcher. I always get asked about this one and refuse to share the name lol.

A fresh smelling Prada that me and a friend picked up because of a bogo deal it’s alright but not one I always wear. Can’t remember the name

The last one is a Jo Malone cologne with tonka. That was a birthday gift from my family. That one just works wonders for me

Other than that I buy a lot of smell a likes from a website called oil perfumery. Small bottles for around $10-18 range. Most of their stuff is spot on. Got some creed Aventus and Fucking Fabulous that are exact. But the bottles are small so I wear them occasionally

If your like me with cologne spend time doing research. I also try and buy oil based perfumes because they last longer on me. The alcohol based ones never last long enough

[–]throwawayok2727284921 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Combine this with your local socio economic conditions and it can be really clear to women who want to date who they go after. I live in one of the poorest states. The high paying jobs eclipse anything else available and not many are available to most men. Takes either a man with good genes who “gets it” or someone who busted ass to earn the skills. Typically higher status women find their way to these types of guys.

[–]bert_cj34 points35 points  (26 children) | Copy

Not me. I’m a computer/software engineer. Girls seem to be turned off by it lol. I don’t bring it up unless it’s asked explicitly

[–]febreze_air_freshner24 points25 points  (0 children) | Copy

make it sound fun. it's assumed it's a boring career, which it can be, but I always dress it up and mention interesting personal projects and that always gets positive reactions.

[–]ovrload23 points24 points  (2 children) | Copy

Nope if you were tall and good looking women would be more interested doesn’t matter how “nerdy” your job is.

“Teehee he is such a nerd”

[–]bert_cj1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

One thing I always sensed, not only from girls but from dudes, is like a sort of self pity? Cause most 22 year olds are graduating college and realizing they can’t find a job with a degree they studied 4 years to get. So when I would say I’m an engineer, I felt like they felt bad for themselves in that moment. Id always feel a shift in the energy. Felt like that had something to do with it too.

[–]LazerSpin0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Of course. Some people decide to have an easy time in college so they go for an easy degree like PolSci, communication or business.

Then they graduate and realize a BS in those is not enough to get a relevant position and struggle.

[–]pyth0ns6 points7 points  (4 children) | Copy

What's your physique like? Clark Kent is a major fantasy for women, for a reason...

Inoccent looking nerd that is chizzled to the core and can throw her around with ease when the shirt is off...

Same goes for us 'nerds' in IT...

I’m 6’0 205 lbs, around 11% body fat.

I’ve never tried to fit the mold of “engineer”. No one ever thinks I’d be an engineer when they meet me. Still working on my fashion, but I think I’m pretty fashion forward. More geared toward street wear.

[–]TreatYouLikeAQuean0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I’m 6’0 205 lbs, around 11% body fat.

FFMI of 24. That's elite for someone not using gear. Does your life revolve around training or do you use AAS?

[–]bert_cj0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I don’t really feel elite. Id say I just make conscious eating decisions. Before quarantine I was training 5-6 times a week. Ive gotten pretty lazy in quarantine, but my diet has been pretty solid still.

Did some googles on body fat, I’m definitely not over 13% and I’m definitely not under 11%. So I’d say around 11-13 typically. I’m confident saying I’m 12% body fat.

I don’t use any extra supplements or assistance. Just whey protein. Used to do creatine, might jump back on it when gyms open back up.

Just watched this video too. https://youtu.be/mrllUxAr1_g

[–]blasterkid10 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

What do u do?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

I'm training to be a software dev and i tell girls ima software dev and they think it's hot because i say it with passion.

You'll find in life it's about how confident you are and how you express it to the girl that turns her on. If your passionate about baking a girl will think it's hot. But if you come across as needy and attention seeking she'll run.

[–]bert_cj1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I gotta work on being enthusiastic about it. I’m always sort of embarrassed to say it. I made a comment in an earlier post. But I feel like a lot of 22 year olds kind of feel bad for themselves because they studied 4 years for a degree and can’t find a job. Meanwhile I had a job lined up after college so every time I brought it up I always felt like they kind of felt bad for themselves.

I had zero engineering friends in college and post college lol. When I hung out with engineering guys it was a big circle jerk about how we’re all engineers.

[–]blasterkid10 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

[–]ValorElite1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

OP, don't bring it up around girls you're talking to then? Make the girl fall in love with your personality, not your occupation.

[–]blasterkid10 points1 point  (7 children) | Copy

Self taught?

[–]bert_cj0 points1 point  (6 children) | Copy

I have a bachelors in electrical engineering. I do embedded systems programming.

I kind of don’t like saying I’m a software dev cause people imagine apps and websites, but I am a software dev, for electronics.

[–]blasterkid10 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Hmm ok nice man! I'm going the self taught route

[–]LazerSpin-1 points0 points  (4 children) | Copy

You're an "embedded systems engineer", not a "software dev" per say. The two SDLCs are way different, for one.

Just tell 'em you program vibrators for work and ask them about their favorite setting so you can get that into your company's next product.

Or get excited describing the advancements in teledildonics your workplace is developing.

[–]bert_cj0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

I literally develop software, so aren’t I a software developer?

I just refrain from telling people I’m an embedded systems engineer because no one knows what that is. Maybe I could start saying that which will lead people to asking what’s that? And build convo? Idk. Software dev for electronics makes sense and ppl at least have an idea

[–]volvostupidshit1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

You are a software dev.

[–]LazerSpin0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I am not saying one is better than the other in any way. Do youhave to (sometimes) touch assembly and worry about the system resource limitations? Because modern typical devs don’t have to do that. Anywaythese differences are for nerds. A normie won’t know or care.

You are forgetting to have fun when talking sbout your job. Make up outrageous stuff, say wacky things with sexual undertones, etc. Talk about what brand of vibrators to stay away from because their electronics will shock your pussy. That kind of shit.

It sounds like you take yourjob seriously (and that’s good), but you don’t realize that other people don’t give a fuck what you do. A girl just cares if your job means stability and money. If it’s also a “cool” job then that’s just gravy. You’ll have to “make up” for lack of coolness of an ESE with your game.

[–]bert_cj0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Earlier you said I’m an ESE and not a software dev. A software dev is literally someone who develops software.

You are correct tho I definitely need to have more fun when talking about my job.

[–]DiskKiller222 points23 points  (1 child) | Copy

What’s wrong with that? Your career is an achievement just like a muscular body - you needed ambition, discipline, grit, etc. to achieve it, so if you have it, it’s a big plus. Most don’t. So I can see why a girl would be attracted. Don’t over analyze and don’t draw artificial lines between “the real you” and your career. Just enjoy the benefits/the advantages it gives you, you’ve probably earned them.

(And do feel free to keep your dollars to yourself.)

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yah you definitely made a point I didn’t consider. I grew up surrounded by leeches who always tried to suck people around them dry. Trying to get hand outs like it was their job, begging for free anything. They’d just leach around everywhere. Might’ve just been the area/society I grew up in. But that has always made me careful with people who have the “hand me out” mentality. They never want to work for anything. They just want stuff...

But it also helped me learn most people are only doing stuff for their own benefit not because they care. Like being your friend only cause they can get free rides everywhere lol

[–][deleted]  (10 children) | Copy

Ikr. It's like how we instantly become interested on a girl when she's hot. Just biology at work.

[–]Ballyop13 points14 points  (1 child) | Copy

Because a loser doesn't give a single fuck. Everyone knows that one trashy guy who fights everyone and is a hit with chicks. He's a loser that fucks a lot.

[–]Velebit2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I distinctly remember reading an article where a pua veteran was saying the best natural charmers were all generally chaotic, spontaneous, don't give a shit about money and have a different mindset then the squares.

[–]masterpiece002 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Because losers don't define themselves by 'money' and 'status' and if they are losers or not based on some capitalistic materialist marker of winner or loser.

Ie: the loser types have personality and fire in them = much more attraction, fuck him on the spot

Career men are stiff and boring = beta bux women settle down with

[–][deleted]  (4 children) | Copy

[–]Noodlesoupe221 points22 points  (0 children) | Copy

Theres more than one component to attraction. A supermodel doesn't have to have an attractive personality to attract men but that doesn't mean a nice personality can't benefit the average woman. A successful chad is a lot more attractive than homeless chad.

[–]Velebit1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Its what their beta dads told them, its just ridiculous. I am happy I had a chad grandpa who never had a career but was a war vet and hero, he ran away at 14 to join war. He stole my grandma from beta bucks safe guy and took her to another city. He almost left my gm when she insulted him once. She begged him to stay.

[–]MonkMode201923 points24 points  (8 children) | Copy

In general, your real career doesn't even need to come up and you should be able to game without it. I know a lot of losers that get mad pussy.

Long term however, women need stability for their children and their well being.

I always lie about my career.

But yes, its a turn off...

[–]Mr_Selago3 points4 points  (7 children) | Copy

What do you do? And what do yo tell the ladies?

[–]lowiqmaxxx7 points8 points  (6 children) | Copy

I tell girls that I drive garbage trucks, but I always feel like keeping secrets stops me from having meaningful connections with others. So I’m looking for a better alternative as well.

[–]entrep416 points17 points  (4 children) | Copy

Tell her you're a "waste management machinery operator"

[–]lowiqmaxxx11 points12 points  (2 children) | Copy

lmao that’s a good one, but I don’t actually drive garbage trucks. I say it to tease girls, because I obviously don’t look like someone who drive garbage trucks. My main problem is that, by concealing my real profession, it prevents me from having a real connection with someone.

[–]Standgrounding8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy

It's like a test from you to filter the gold diggers: would you still love me even if i drive a garbage truck? Except it's not a question lol.

Im gonna use that man

[–]LazerSpin0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

You are not concealing. You're telling a lie so outrageous that only a child would be upset when you later "reveal" the truth.

You feel the way you feel because vetting a woman for an LTR/emotionally intimate relationship is a lot more work than plating actually is. If you want that "real connection" (you giant pussy, you) then you'll have to work at finding a girl who's worth that investment.

Then you'll have to work extra hard on your frame because nothing is weaker to a woman than a man who lets her into his head or heart.

[–]Standgrounding0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

[–]tyalanm0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I feel the same way man... What other things do you hold close to your chest?

[–]arixxx_20 points21 points  (1 child) | Copy

She wants to be apart of your world. She sees you as a competent man. When this happens, shift conversation back to them and be vague about it. People love talking about themselves. You could always give her filler about it like “oh, We do a lot of fun things like write about X. I’d say more but, what’s Y” and change conversation. Set boundaries. If she breaks them, your choice.

[–]masterpiece006 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy

No, She sees him as a beta bux she can haggle whilst she fucks her chads on the side.

[–]amwfhunter5 points6 points  (2 children) | Copy

Use it to your advantage. Women have long dangled the sex carrot to get men. It is what they offer. But just never forget why she is here and why she will never be more than a plate.

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--5 points6 points  (1 child) | Copy

Yah I could definitely use it as an advantage. But the reason she cares is also why I lose interest in her. Time is money. Not wasting my time on someone looking for my money lol

[–]amwfhunter0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Fair enough but sometimes u can't blame females for looking for everything. If she is hot enough I just will then look at her as notch. Better than masturbation and you don't put her high in the rotation.

[–]Velebit5 points6 points  (1 child) | Copy

Most females want to be pampered and diminish their stress level and outsource the trouble to the penis owning human. You have just shown to be quite able to theoretically fill that role.

The reason why you are losing interest is evolutionary. Men who weren't selective about who they breed with had their genes mixed with low quality genes and their kids were humans of less quality then they were.

This can also be seen on how countries turned out. USA where men were very selective and Brazil or Mexico where most migration were just (nonselective) men. The only women they found locally were women whose group never found a way to do things well and individuals of such character that they care more about the status and resources of a man (wow he is a well off white conqueror) vs a more loyalist view (ugh I hate those foreign enemies). This bred for bad, non idealistic, dominance oriented offspring and is why SA is so gangsta.

But in general avoid 'low hanging fruit' women. You know, the barristas, shop sellers, airplane waitresses, etc. Women whose prospects for saving up for a new unused car and a new flat is next to 0 because they are either lazy or dumb and they will see you as a ticket to jump ahead.

[–]jm513 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy

I've read similar from people who have lost enough weight to start getting attention from the opposite sex. 'Fuckers didn't want to know me before I slimmed down... rant rant...'

Some career minded women firmly believe that they can leave marriage/babies to the last minute. If she is one of those, then it's not so much your income that she is after imo, it's bragging rights. If your career sounds more impressive than the careers of her friends partners, that's a big win for her.

[–]Standgrounding3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Those very same people ten to ruin kids by forcing them to study hard at school without going out eith friends etc, just for HURR DURR MY KID GETS THE BEST GRADES. nobody cares.

And the kid grows up to be knowing only nerdy things thus leading an unbalanced life

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Ahaha I can tell you went through my account. I mean it is true they didn’t really care for me before the weight loss. But in all honesty before and after I still don’t like to waste my time with that much people. I have always just had my group of 3-4 friends who know me well. In general I’ve always had people wanting my attention in an annoying way, but I’m also just focused on my own stuff. Friends have told me in the past they aren’t sure why in big groups people want to always hear my opinion. I always thought it was weird because I have a dry and dickish humor. Which obviously attracts women, didn’t know till Redpill honestly that this was a good thing. The weight loss definitely helped though. Also anyone whose lost weight and makes those rants need to stop. You clearly had an issue with your weight and it’s no surprise a female would’ve as well. Either way it’s a new world to explore don’t bitch just enjoy it.

I have also heard women brag to each other about what their significant other or boyfriend do for a living so not surprised. Guess it seems odd to me since I’d never really do that lol. But then again I’m not in their place 🤷‍♂️

[–]WIA20XX4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

No, that's a good sign. Means I found a prostitute and can treat her as such.

[–]Alzatorus3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy

I completed a Psychology Undergraduate, Masters by Research in Social Science Research Methods, and applied for Clinical Psych. PhD this year... Most common question... "Can you read my mind?" ... Most common statement "Oooh, so you're going to be a doctor" - it's common, it's repetitive, and a drain, but allows you to practice the ideal response for smooth transition between talking and taking her or one of her friends home. It would be annoying if I allowed it to be, but ideally I try to move past it as it's really not a big deal. Just smile, laugh, and escalate anything they say to humerous obserdity.

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

Yah I need to work on that more. It really does get annoying sometimes. Especially when people make up weird legal scenarios for you lol. Although the one thing that gets under my skin is people who go off on pretending to know a legal thing and explain it wrong, while preaching up and down that they “did their research”. But those are people never worth arguing with, they are always just trying to stir something for no reason. But sometimes I do keep the ball rolling and talk about weird murder cases or something funny

[–]Alzatorus0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Sounds like you're well on your way to the 'DNGAF' mindset. Keep at it ✌️

[–]muricanwerewolf15 points6 points  (3 children) | Copy

I don't really blame you for being turned off by a woman unable to hide her gold-diggerish tendencies, but most women are attracted to power and money, so it's not like I would expect that not to matter to them either.

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

Yah I agree. But I’ve met women who hear about my career field and are interested like anyone else would be. Not jumpy and overly interested like some others. I think it also correlates strongly with their career of choice. But either way it’s bound to happen to anyone anyway. The way I figure at this point if she’s not immediately acting like a gold digger she’s just better at hiding her true emotions in the moment. But deep down it’s all the same when people focus on that type of stuff.

[–]LazerSpin0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Try dating a woman who you know has the same or better career than you (i.e. another lawyer) and see how she reacts. You ain't gotta marry her or nothing, just compare reactions.

Also consider this whole thing a net positive. If you can filter out girls who are getting wet over your (potential future) money from the ones who are getting wet over you then you're a mile ahead.

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yah anytime I’ve been around woman in my career or other similar levels of career its totally different. They are definitely more interested in you than your money. But I also find them to be easily attached and that can be annoying when you never take them that serious. They also get way to imaginative with the idea of “power couples”. Lol

The net positive was something I didn’t consider honestly. I think being able to see through people’s bull is one of the reasons I’m in the law field anyway. I was taught at a weirdly young age to be weary of fake people and people’s intentions. Can recall being given like a step by step guide from adults when I was a really young kid. Never knew it would be handy at that age lol

[–]tilleuno1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

Well no dude, your passion and ability to generate income are two huge indicators for women. Once learned by her, they polarize her in one direction or the other.

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

It does make sense. My passions and career definitely intertwine at times. I just find it weird when someone doesn’t care that they are literally being a gold digger upfront lol

[–]Transport1271 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

Girls don’t give a shit about your career unless you’re rich

[–]TreatYouLikeAQuean0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Not true. Girls will care about earning potential. A law or medical student can be 400k in the hole and girls don't give a fuck about that because they have the potential to earn that in a year in the future.

[–]Transport1270 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Career status alone doesn’t do shit to women. Confidence, frame, social status, look etc go a long way when it comes to attracting women. Remember, women are not logical.

I’m an engineer, I tell women what I do all the time, and most of them don’t care. my confidence, frame etc matter the most. But when I tell men what I do, they get impressed.

[–]TreatYouLikeAQuean0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Girls don't give a shit about your career unless you're rich

What I'm saying is just by telling a girl "I'm a doctor," they will be interested. Doesn't matter if the doctor is a fucking degenerate gambler with 500k debt. The career is prestigious and the earning potential is there.

[–]WyldeCutter1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I’m in the law field but I’m still grinding as a student lol

[–]Theotakushenanigans0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Well from one law student to other. Keep grinding and learn those caselaw and study law with holistic approach.

I do Agricultural Engineering and I am heavily invested in it, so I don't know whether that would happen 😂 There's good money in it though, hoes gonna get mad when I shoot them down.

As far as I'm concern I hide all hints about my career and networth it's way much more rewarding to know you're attractive for who you are and not your wallet and it gives you a mysterious vibe as you can always dodge the question

Whenever Girls I'm meeting for the first time ask what I'm doing, I always tell I'm fresh out from Prison

I'm sad for my bros who only got their jobs for themself, be excellent in your passion and your mission

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yah I miss being able to hide that to some extent. But it takes up a large part of my life now regardless. My hobbies intertwine in my career so much. Just because I do genuinely enjoy it. Not sure about the prison thing though lol. I’m just an upfront person so I’m not good with making up stuff like that. But hey to each their own. If it’s working for you who am I to doubt.

Idk man, is the career YOU or is it just some shit you do to pay the bills.

If you are passionate about your career and you find it to be a core part of your life (as it should be) then no.

If you’re a bored Tax Accountant or just have a job that has no growth potential and that you’re unenthused about, then yeah, she’s interested in the benefits of the career, not the actual career itself; which is where the actual problem is...

For me it’s a plus if a girl is interested in the future trajectory of my career, but not if she is interested in the immediate benefits it provides.

I want to share my realistic dreams and ambitions (career/life-path/yadayada) with someone who I’m LTRing. And see it as a huge benefit if she wants to come along for the ride - and contribute!

Then again, most of the girls I’ve LTR’d so far have come from relatively wealthy upper-middle class families

For reference, I’m a mechatronics engineer who has worked in nanoscience/biomed but am still relatively young (career wise) at 25.

As an example of a concrete benefit I currently glean - I’m not the most accomplished writer, so whenever reports are required, I find it effective to have my current LTR restructure and streamline my thoughts/writings.

If you have any doubts, just split checks and talk more about the interesting parts of your job while downplaying the annual pay.

What career? You're in fokking law school...

Come back when you made partner at a nice law firm or general counsel at Apple.

Why aren’t you dating someone in your law school? When I was in law school, everyone was pairing off early and for keeps.

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

LTR are extra work I don’t plan on investing until I care to. Plates are more fun and easier. I also always try to avoid shitting where I eat... for the most part

[–]ValorElite0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

What's the problem here?

[–]skriker250 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

What do you do bro? I'm a software engineer and I get the same thing.

[–]--Sleepy_Sheep--1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Law field but I’m still a student. I feel like the tech engineers are getting discovered a lot recently. I was doing tech engineering before I switched majors. Not sure why some people still think the “nerd” stereotype is surrounded by tech guys. I’ve met so many guys in the tech industry who have a great build, super smart, solid work ethic, and make great money. I’ve seen them get lots of women who are thrown back that they are engineers especially in the tech industry lol

A Career is for betabux. A genetically superior male can be a hermit or a beggar and still slay. He doesn’t have to work a single day in his life. The career is a cope. That being said, you should get the best education and moneymaxx, but the true love and affection is something reserved for Chad.

If you believe that you haven’t seen the western expat community in places like Colombia or Thailand. There are fat, ugly, guys with bad personalities living like hugh hefner.

Money counts for a lot. Especially when women don’t have any, and rather than acting like their husband; their government doesn’t care if they starve to death.

I know an American software developer who worked remotely and lived down there. He died from a drug overdose. The hot girl he was dating still posts about how sad she is a year later. Imagine you had a winning lottery ticket for millions of dollars and it burned up before your eyes. Would you not highly value that ticket?

It’s an acceptable alternative - but it’s prostitutionmaxxing. Nothing against it, but that’s the real name.

Get a life man. Career is cope? There is nothing you want to do besides fuck? And you wonder why you have to run game just to keep women around; you're fucking losers.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
