Growing up I received mixed and confusing messages about the difference in sexuality between men and women. Instead of scientifically sound notions based on empirical evidence, biology, evolution etc. I was exposed to quite a few crazy ideas aimed at confusing and muddying the waters. Arguments like "we shouldn't generalize", "we are totally capable of lifting ourselves above our instincts unlike animals", "sexuality is influenced by culture and not so much by biology" or "there's a primitive tribe in Borneo where women are hornier than men" or "in progressive societies like Iceland there's no difference between men and women in sexual behavior" and other outlandish stories that I later realized were all bogus. It was all aimed at downplaying the differences in sexual strategy between the genders.

Are these things still circulating in society in advertisements, tv, magazines or even school and institutions to the point that the bluepilling is still strong or are younger generations starting to have a better understanding of the matter?
