Me (F27) and my boyfriend (F24) have been together for around 8 months. We've been living together for 3.

Everything is generally great. He's incredibly smart (works in tech), goes to the gym and is in very good shape. He has a stable job in a big company, etc... you know, the works.

We almost never argue, but the other day he was pretty pissed when he came back to work. He told me that from now on he will avoid giving me advice because I always question him on it, even though he's right on whatever he says 97% of the time (his words... and I have to agree that he is right almost all the time on things).

He told me he feels disrespected and that it's a waste of his time to tell me things if I'm not gonna follow what he said. He told me that this has been happening for a while and he tried to "let it go" but it keeps happening and it's driving him nuts.

He's a very rational person and his arguments are almost always logic-based. I told him that I had no idea that that was the way he was feeling and that to me it didn't feel like questioning at all.

This all started from a conversation we had via text. I told him I was going to get a package from the post and I have him the tracking number. He asked me if I was sure the package was there, because the tracking only said "Info Received" and I shouldn't waste my time because it's not there. I told him that I will go just to be sure since it's only a 8 minutes walk. He said "alright" and that was it.

I trust him with all my heart and it breaks me that he thinks I don't trust his judgment. I am definitely a half-full glass type of person while he's more cynical, and I want to believe in things, like the package being there already. This was in no way a reflection on what I think of his advice, which I value greatly.

I'm not sure how to proceed here... he asked me "why would you stay with someone whos advice you won't take?". I told him that I loved him and that I'm doing my best. He shrugged it off.

I really love this man and don't want to lose him. What can I do?
