I remember an AC proposal popping up in the subreddit a while ago, but it had way more visible effort put into it. Dude hopped on with her on co-op after having set up an interesting maze with prizes in it, the sign asking her to marry him at the very end. And of course he had a real ring ready.

That was cute.

I saw that, how does this take hours to do? You make a couple signs, press 2 buttons to set them. Then put some furniture down. Takes 20 minutes tops..

Not only did he put zero effort in but he's also a liar lol. I'm hoping this is a fake proposal he posted for karma, because it's more than a little shameless, but this is a dude we're talking about, most dudes are pretty shameless.

Yikes. Comes across as someone unwilling to spend actual resources on a real proposal. Imagine reminiscing about it in 20 years and having to explain what AC is/how the proposal was in it instead of having a timeless, beautiful story to tell. Hard no.

Lame. Why not order a nice dinner and make it a romantic, special night? Even if you guys enjoy AC as a hobby, it isn’t in good taste to use it to propose. Even my gamer acquaintances know better than to try and pull something like that.

I am always wary of men who choose to propose with an audience... or through text or even a link to a video like this.

it's like they are forcing her hand... when he goes down on a knee in front of her surrounded by the whole Wallmart or whatever, she is practically forced to say yes. these guys are desperate to secure a wife because marriage benefits men more than women.
