The only advice i can give as someone who also enjoys skating...BE RUDE to strange men. Don’t look at them, don’t smile at them, don’t even acknowledge them. I also look younger than I am and I find 40 year old men always looking at me when I’m by myself 😠 don’t give them the time of day. However, if they try to ask or tell you something while you’re wearing headphones, a great way to shut them up is to answer the question you THINK they’re asking you. Like when a guy asks what kind of board you‘re riding, answer that “It IS a nice day out.” And ride away. It’ll put them in their place and remind them that they are NOTHING of importance to you. Everything I can think of doesn’t work.

You scowl or have RBF, they take it as a challenge to try and make you smile or tell you to smile, you’re too pretty to be like that.

You get up and move away, they follow you around.

You calmly and in the most non-threatening way possible, tell them sorry you don’t mean to be rude, you don’t want to chat, and they call you dirty bucking fitch, and threaten bodily harm OR tell you you’re ugly anyway.

Sigh. I’ve got nothing.

I don't know honestly.

I have a natural reaction that I don't do intentionally where I basically mentally and emotionally disappear. This sometimes make men uncomfortable and they back off but not all.

Like grayrock essentially.

Do your best to not talk or if you do give flat dry responses. Stay in public spaces. Keep your phone close and unlocked. Ask people to call and talk to you on the phone until you are safe.

If anyone try's to grab you again in your FIERCEST VOICE (practice in your house or car)....tell him not to fucking touch you. LOUDLY! There are surely nice guys/humans there that will take notice if you're yelling at some dick. Safety in numbers.

Also, why crack your window to talk? Nope. You dont owe him a response. Either drive off next time or through your window and locked doors tell him to move or you'll run his ass over. If you feel a dick face follow you turn around and in your warrior voice, stance ask him what he wants!!?? Then possibly tell him to fuck off.

You dont need to be a loud B to do this. Just need to find that inner warrior. Practice her. Give her a name. Something to fight. You deserve to feel safe when your boarding. A badass FUCK OFF will go just as far as mace. Sending you badass warrior vibes.

The only thing that works is being obviously rude. I remember at your age I was very shy about coming off as rude to men but I quickly learned.

As soon as you see a man approach you, walk the opposite direction. Make it obvious you saw him but you’re choosing to walk away. If a man comes down and sits next to you, as soon as you realize what he’s doing, get up and go to a different bench while looking at him, so he knows you’re purposely avoiding him. It feels weird and so rude at first, but you will feel so much better. If a man comes up to you and talks to you, wave your hand in his face like you’re trying to shoo a fly away or point to your headphones while riding off. Don’t even stay long enough for them to respond. If a man comes up to your car to talk, pretend he isn’t there and drive away.

Be as obvious as you can about physically getting away from them. That is the most effective way. There is no need to say or do much.

Pff that can be so annoying! To be honest, I think the nice way won’t work, the angry way won’t work, going away yourself might make them follow you (plus don’t give up your space to these idiots)...

Lol, the only thing I can come up with that might actually make them leave on their own: just start talking about menstruating and cramps and all of the blood that “just goes everywhere” and female “hygiene products” and what not. They think it’s gross and they might leave you alone after commenting on how gross or weird you are (you know, for having a period like about 50% of the world’s population). This might be pretty awkward to do though :’)
