This is why I dumped a guy after his best friend died. We were dating for about 4-5 weeks, I noticed he was dropping the ball/treating me as an option. His good friend dies in a freak accident, with the exception of the friend who passed, I think the guy didn't have any other real friends (like many/most men) or anyone he invested in enough to rely on for emotional support. So he expected that emotional support from me, some random woman he was casually and briefly dating. I told him "I'm sorry for your loss" but didn't feel obligated to provide any more emotional labor. This was before I discovered FDS, a few years ago. I ended things in text. Of course, he contacted me again about a year later, asking how have I been lmao. Never responded. He had the nerve to contact me again almost 2 years later, in email, under the guise of networking/would I be interested in x opportunity. Ignored again.

Your story is why I’ve been blocking and deleting at the first sign of being used because men are totally about using you for whatever they can get. They always have an excuse that always begins with “it’s just”.

And they’re using you for things from the minor like attention (like replies to their OLD messages) to truly selfish messed up things like what he did to you.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. He even called himself my boyfriend and met my family and my friends. When I asked where he saw us in the next six months he said, “I thought we were just hanging out”.

This happened to me a few months ago, with the added bonus of the guy saying to me right after we had sex, "I want to ask your advice about the girl I'm in love with" and I was like "who?!?" And then I said "what about me?" And his response was "we're friends! you're just like a sister to me." Boy bye!

Know what would be really fun is to then fake a pregnancy and tell him you're keeping it and he better get ready to pay child support for the next 18 years. Really rile him up and let him sweat it for a couple weeks. And then call him up and tell him that if he's willing to pay for the whole thing you'll get an abortion. Get him to send you six hundred bucks and then block him.
