Yup, men are unhappy that women aren't maximum slaves, mommies, maids, breadwinners and personal pornstars. All while he is being far from a shining beacon of peak partner performance himself, to put it lightly. And women are unhappy to be dealing with abuse, domestic violence, double standards and still question if it's their fault. Comments almost always believe that yes, it's the woman's fault and that things can always be talked out until he, showing very clear signs of abuser, will hurt her permanently or even kill her. Yeah sure, maybe then he's the asshole, but there still may be sympathizers with their: ”she must've done something to deserve this”. Male advice is the worst, self serving, and victim blaming. They beg and expect things of women that they later turn against them, mock and blame them for. The only way to win their game is not to play.

Saw on the relationship sub today some guy saying he and his gf of 3 years have become like roommates, he wants to fix it but she doesn't. His reason they've grown apart is bc he likes TV, movies, and politics, and she doesn't like any of these things. She just "reads about the meaning of life all day" He sounds like he's probably vapid and doesnt engage his mind in anything, and she can't hold and intelligent convo with him, or is pretentious herself. At least many in the comments were like uh, dude, have you tried to get into HER hobbies??

I went on there for the first time since I joined reddit. Lord it was a MESS. The comment section looks a little improved but there was this OP trying to rationalize how she can still get married while the relationship was suffering; he’s lazy, rich, his parents don’t like her and he’s unclean. She comes from a poor family and said if they get married SHE is willing to take care of herself or both.
