EDIT: i posted this and didn’t come back until today. i’m overwhelmed by the support and it honestly really fucking infuriates me to read that so many people can relate. i wish no one could relate. thank you so much for all of your kindness. i was crying out of hurt but also happiness that i’m not in this situation anymore when i wrote this post, but i’m crying again from the amount of reassurance and warmth y’all have given me. you guys are amazing.
before i lost my virginity i masturbated a lot, fantasizing about how passionate it can be and how good it would feel doing it with someone you love.
my first time was with my first boyfriend when i was 18. at that moment we loved each other but we broke up and i learned through therapy that he was incredibly abusive.
sex with him was a chore. it was painful and to me it felt like something i had to do. he refused to wear condoms so i had to go on the pill. he refused to use lube and i was in so much pain in the beginning. we ended up using it a few times but he claimed it felt better without so we gave it up and i continued to experience pain.
for some reason after having sex for the first few times all my fantasies and expectations faded and along with being on the pill i came to have a lower sex drive. i also never finished or even came close. he had a higher sex drive but he didn’t respect that i wasn’t like him.
for example he’d want me to give him a blowjob in the public bathroom because he was horny at the mall, but i would be really exhausted and quite in a down mood because he was blaming me for something i couldn’t control. but believing it was my duty to please him, i would attempt to suck him or jerk him off and when i couldn’t do a good job because i was tired, he tried to go inside me instead. i was too dry for him to. he was upset, walked off, refused to hold my hand, and i had to come chasing after him begging for his forgiveness that i couldn’t please him.
sometimes he’d push my head down too far and hold me down there when i sucked his dick and my eyes would water and my throat would hurt and i’d make noises and pull back to resist and he’d say “sorry, it just feels too good”.
then he’d get upset about how i can’t deep throat. he’d mock me and shit.
he did the same for when it’d hurt too much for me to handle when he’s inside. he’d keep going and say that same shit “sorry it just feels too good”.
he left me. then i got on tinder. a tinder date pressured me to have my first ever drink be with him.
i’m short and asian so it’s no surprise i have really low tolerance. i was really drunk and he decided to take advantage of me. i knew what was going on but i had that mentality that this is what i’m for. i’m a woman, with boobs, ass, and pussy and it’s there to please him.
he choked me, fucked me, whatever he wanted. i just laid there. he asked to suck his dick or jerk him off but i gave no response at all so he fucked me instead. twice.
my makeup was smudged from the tears.
im 19 now, started dating someone new a couple months ago and when we started talking about having sex together i was scared. our first time was intimidating but he was so slow, patient, and attentive. it hurt in the beginning and he could tell i was in pain and so he made sure to give me time to actually get turned on. he wanted to make ME feel good. he didn’t care if he felt good if it meant i didn’t feel good.
and for the first time, sex was painless.
but it wasn’t perfect. if he laid too much weight on my chest i freaked out and pushed him off because it reminded me of my tinder date choking me. we tried having drunk sex and i had a panic attack because i felt afraid all of the sudden. he held me and assured me i don’t have to have sex if i don’t want to, not now and not ever. sometimes i’d just not be feeling it and he’d be okay with it and hold me instead. or even, i’d be feeling and he wouldn’t and we’d just cuddle.
slowly, i started to feel turned on with him. i WANT to have sex with him. i have never been so wet before. and penetration fucking feels good. i even am on top, and i’m in control and that feels fucking amazing. he tells me he loves me while we have sex, we hold each other before and after, and he makes me feel sexy, confident, and safe.
this is how it was supposed to be. even if i’m not finishing, i shouldn’t have to be in pain or feel pressured. i’m so surprised at myself for being the one initiating half the time as well. this isn’t special, it’s supposed to be normal.
i just wanted to share and let others who might’ve been in the same situation as me that sex should not hurt. aside actual health issues, you should not be in pain. physically and emotionally. it’s supposed to be good. even if none of you finish, it’s supposed to be this connection that you feel with each other, amplified physically haha. so..don’t ever blame yourself or force yourself.

This is exactly how it is tho. If you have casual sex, or sex with a porn sick man, he only cares about HIS PLEASURE. He doesn’t give a fuck if you’re in pain or you feel degraded. All he cares about is getting himself off. Ladies do not give yourself away like this. You are all worth so much more. Having sex with men like this will make you feel like a sex doll. I have such a similar experience to the girl in this story. I lost my virginity recently and the whole time he kept moving me around in a million different positions and he pounded me as hard as he could. I have masturbated and I know what an orgasm is. This dude had the audacity to eat me out for two fucking minutes and he looks me in the eye and goes, “did you cum?”. What a joke. He also put his finger in my butthole which hurt a lot. To top it off he ejaculated in me after I told him not to. I was so excited because I thought sex would be amazing but it was an utter disappointment. Side note: this guy was experienced, it was not his first time

See, this is where I feel modern parents are failing their daughters these days. This should not even be needed to be said to adult women because not having sex with men who do not care about you should be as obvious as locking your door when you leave the house. It's important that parents teach their daughters to be in tune with their instinct to fear men as a default.
Instead, they let young girls have male doctors and male coaches (even in sports like gymnastics, figure skating or ballet, where not only physical contact with the athlete is a given but the male version of the sport would be too different for a guy to know what he is doing while training girls), don't tell them that after puberty, boys do not want to be their "friend" and I have even seen some "progressive" ones actively tell their teenager to sow their wild oats (that same type will even leave the house at times to allow their 17 year old to host a booze fest). WTF!

Please tell me this guy is history.
If we did half the shit they do to us, they would sing a whole different tune.

We’ve barely talked since it happened. We spoke a little after because I was scared I was going to get pregnant and he literally did not do anything to be supportive or calm my anxiety. He just told me I’m dramatic and that I’m overreacting.

Also sorry to rant but the night before I was over at his house and we were cuddling and messing around and he was literally begging to fuck me. I told him no I can’t do it and he kept saying things along the lines of “don’t worry, you’re mine forever” and other bs like that. The next night after we had sex, it was getting late and I had to go home and I was hugging him and saying that I wish I didn’t have to leave. I looked him in the eyes as I was walking out the door and I said, “do you promise we’ll still talk?” And he said, “I promise”. And guess fucking what. I’ve barely heard from him since that day.
Edit: in a way I’m not even upset because I knew this would happen. But I do kinda feel like a 🤡

Any time a dude does something you don’t want him to do (move you around, put a finger in your butt), stop the sex. And leave.

I began crying as I was reading this. She’s not the only one and she won’t be the last one. I went through it too. I just want to hug her and all the girls and women who have or are going through this. My heart breaks every day.

I’m honestly extremely angry because nobody tells women shit about our sexuality and all the stuff they do tell us is horseshit. And it’s purely intentional fucking ignorance.

Here, here. The only thing we are ever really taught is how it’s our job to ensure we don’t have it, how to protect against pregnancy, etc.
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points (0 children) | Copy Link
I've been through similar too... I did not like reading that.. How many more young women have to go through this?

This makes me cry. Porn is the fucking devil.

I used to be one of those “oh I don’t care if he watches porn, teehee. I do too. Look how cool I am” idiots. I want to slap my past self. The men I’ve slept with who were against porn or who saw no need for it were way better in bed. More attentive and caring about how I felt. The others? I felt like a sex doll that was performative. And I thought I had to enjoy this. Omg I’m so glad I came across this subreddit and it’s sister subreddits. I realized I am a feminist, just not a libfem whom I’ve had so many disagreements with inside but was told I’m not a feminist if I felt like XYZ.

I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome, sister.

Thank you 😊 everyone is so welcoming on this sub and ones similar, it’s been beautiful. And while sometimes the topic can be depressing, the sense of community and feeling finally I’m not a bad feminist has really lifted my spirits nonetheless.

porn is really bad, but men never really cared about their partners even before porn became so easily accessible
so I think porn just intensified this and also raised beauty standards for women even higher
[–]TheOGJammiesRuthless Strategist10 points11 points12 points (1 child) | Copy Link
Porn has pushed it to the extremes. I don't know how common choking, spitting, hitting and apparently anal sex was 40 years ago, but I doubt it was anything like this.
[–]hivadufiFDS Newbie5 points6 points7 points (0 children) | Copy Link
yes I agree, I just wanted to say that men always had very little empathy for women
[–]buddingQueenieFDS Newbie29 points30 points31 points (0 children) | Copy Link
That was so terribly depressing to read. My word.
I'm trying to figure out why so many women have bought into the "boyfriendly/husbandly duties" thing. Even as a former pickmeisha, I never bought into that at all.
Makes me wish women as a whole could become an entity I can just hug. We've ALL been through so much.

There was a post on re/relationships yesterday that literally kept me up all night. An 18 yr old girl who rushed into her first time with her boyfriend (no surprise, it hurt). She'd had high expectations of sex, and thought of herself as highly sexual. But the reality of it destroyed all that. Sex is painful, awkward, she doesn't want to do it, she hates giving blowjobs etc, but she's terrified her boyfriend will leave her for someone who puts out more if she stops ...you know what people were telling her?? How to give a better blowjob. Fucking monsters.

Honestly my first boyfriend was exactly like her first boyfriend. I was 18 too. It's sad because we don't know better. I thought it was just normal to put myself through the pain, humiliation, abuse, mental toll, contraceptive pill, etc. to please a boy. I never questioned it. How are we supposed to know? We're told be nice, share your toys, help your classmates, and then we're told nice girls are girls who give lots of sex to their boyfriend. Yet boys don't do their part to be nice. They don't buy you flowers, they don't take you out, they don't wait. They just exist and ask for sex constantly. It's rubbish.
To a large degree I'm still like that, I'd still do anything to please someone. And in a selfless way because I believe it's the right thing to do, not because I hope to gain their approval. The truth is that almost all men will take advantage. There are very few men who will see a nice girl and decide to protect her instead of taking advantage of her. 99% of the men who will come to you will be selfish and run you dry of everything you have. You have to learn to be ruthless to hit all these bad men who approach you far into the outer space. Then maybe you will meet one of the good men.

Good for her figuring it out at 19. I didn't get the memo until I got divorce at 30.

My current partner was horrified that I was initially trying to push through pain during sex. His discomfort with my pain, not mine, was the impetus to see a Dr & discover I had cervical cancer.
I thought he was weird for not fucking me anyway, such was my ingrained expectation. His inability to fuck me while I was in pain likely saved me from a terrible ordeal.
Just the other night I asked him to stop. He immediately did & asked if I was ok. I thanked him later. Again he was horrified that I thought it was worth thanking him for, rather than a normal expectation.
This NEEDS to be a part of modern sex education for both genders, not just women. I'm so thankful women like her tell her story & the women here support & encourage the growth we need to respect our hearts, minds & bodies.

yeah my first time (not too long ago) was a massive disappointment. granted I was 19 and desperate to get rid of it, and on the one hand I’m glad I did because the experience promptly put an end to my boy craziness, but it’s put me off sex altogether. I already struggled with the idea of having sex bc of body image issues and also the fact that penetration just doesn’t feel good for me, but now I just don’t want to have sex ever again lol. his dick was maybe three inches and that’s being generous, but he still managed to make it painful, and because it was so short and he was trying to be rough or whatever he couldn’t stay inside, so he kept trying to slip it in my ass instead, to the point where I had to physically push him away from me to stop him from doing it. (he hadn’t once even asked if he could or even mentioned it; I obviously would have said no.) he also kept biting, like really biting my neck, and my neck is so sensitive that I don’t like it even being touched by clothing, which I’d mentioned to him before, so it was painful and not at all arousing. then when it was clear that his ass fetish was not going to be fulfilled he couldn’t even finish. needless to say I did not finish, I was barely wet lmao.
the thing is, it’s so humiliating to talk about, but every woman I talk about it to has had a similar and usually much worse experience.

Yeah it is. It's really sad. and all anyone ever wants to do when women try to talk about it is gaslight them. All the LVMs rush in to call those women selfish and the pickmes come running to say "I love sex and I never orgasm! It's about the ClOsNeSs!"
[–]rodhornbillFDS Newbie2 points3 points4 points (1 child) | Copy Link
When pretty much all your sexual experiences were unpleasant at best and traumatic at worst, it’s hard to relax enough to orgasm with another person. I went through this myself, it’s tough to get past that mental barrier but you can do it with a genuinely good partner.
[–]radical__daphneRuthless Strategist1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah. It's just sad.
[–]wanderingbubbleFDS Newbie2 points3 points4 points (0 children) | Copy Link
I don't even understand why fellow men educate each other on being douchebags via porn but women don't educate each other. We have rooms for ourselves and we should demote this type of behaviour. Never validate an LVM or an abuser, and how does she not realize she is being used in all this ???? Nobody told her anything

WTF? ...how and WHY are young women tolerating men's lies and abuse?!
The instant any man I was with tried not using a condom or didn't focus on me or show me respect, he was HISTORY. NO second chances.
What the FUCK are young women being (not) taught that makes them think being raped and abused is how it's supposed to be?!
This makes me rage for this young woman. I hope the man that hurt her gets cancer.
