It has always annoyed me that a woman should say "I have a boyfriend" to stop being harassed because you are more respected when you are "owned" by another man. That and the fact that women wear fake wedding rings when going out so they are left alone because they have been branded as the possession of another man.

It’s so fucking sad.

Once again thankful I put 0 effort into my appearance 99.99% of the time and never get hit on.
The times I do put in effort? A guy wouldn't take "I'm waiting for my boyfriend" as a sign to back off and tried calling my bluff. I thought "oh this will be fun..." and so I just let him keep chatting me up since he insists it's fine I have a bf and he just wanted to chat.
Well, my bf at the time shows up and I introduce him to the guy who was hitting on me. Creeper dude practically shits himself and immediately leaves.

Sis I wish this were the case. I'm a t-shirt and leggings kinda gal, I swear the most busted ass men come at me with such audacity when I'm working out in an old t-shirt and covered in sweat. I've had guys literally chase me down the street "just trying to have a conversation" when I'm clearly just trying to exercise, like how dare I be a woman, existing in the world and NOT want to be entertained by some pushy scrote who thinks he's entitled to my time and attention.
I think some men take the "casual" look as an invitation that your standards are low so they might have a chance. And alternately, are intimidated by women who are really put together. When at the end of the day both types of women are too good for some random creeper who thinks it's OK to accost women on the street.

'men protect women' should be changed to 'men protect women from other men'

I want to scream this from the rooftops. Men respect other men.
Guys complain that women always say "I have a boyfriend", but have any considered why that it is? And then some will make the argument that women like it, but unfortunately a lot of women have internalized misogyny and haven't learned that being yelled at and stalked is NOT a compliment.
This also posits like women would otherwise be receptive if she didn't have a boyfriend. Shows how women's agency isn't even considered.

worst thing is when you say "i have a boyfriend" and they keep going like "so now you can't have friends?" NO I CAN'T fuck you.

Just pause and look around terrified before saying that and maybe a male will feel fear in a public place for once 🤣

Or they something like “he doesn’t have to know” or “for now”
[–]Pitiful-ImplementFDS Newbie5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I have heard this one before...also the ever popular "So? He does not have to know"
I don't even know how to respond to that level of audacity.

they're disgusting. In these moments the only thing you can do is look at him up and down and leave

A guy I stopped talking to a few months ago keeps trying to find different ways to contact me after he exposed himself to be an LVM. I have said via messages and shown with actions to leave me alone. Our mutual friends have said it, I have blocked him on everything, but he still tries. Most men don’t take no for an answer and it’s just creepy. Particularly more so that it’s LVM trying to disguise as HVM.

Men respect other men, that's why their likes and loves are reserved for men because true love can only be born from respect.
Men don't respect women, that's why there's no men who truly love women for who they are, they just love what women give them. What men's love for women truly is, is only love for themselves, it's the most selfish love there is in this world.

This is so true. I had so much problems with this online. I know joining a discord server was a bad idea, but before I learned that, a woman had invited me to join her server. She was fine because she had a boyfriend at home so they all respected that she couldn't date them. I was single and said I wasn't looking for a boyfriend. That did not go down well at all. They all tried to date me and wouldn't take no for an answer. I told them repeatedly to stop and they just wouldn't stop. They literally just think "but you're single, so you should be with me". And they think they can try as much as they want because I'm single. First of all, as if I'd date a guy from a discord server. He'd have to be as well-rounded as the guys I meet in real life and he couldn't be a permanent discord user. Second of all, I just can't lie. It would have been so much easier if I could lie and say "well I've started dating someone". Immediately they would have stopped. But somehow they "can't stop themselves" when it's just me asking them to stop. One of them even visited my city, uninvited and after I told him not to come. I had not told him where I lived, but I mentioned my city openly on the server, as the others did. He was a late addition to the server, he never revealed anything about himself, but my info was out there along with the info of the other people that I trusted in the server. This man was much older than anyone else in the server and after I blocked him he decided to buy a plane ticket to my city without telling me. He messaged me on Reddit with an alt to tell me he'd bought a plane ticket to my city to meet me. I begged him not to come and since I felt bad I offered to reimburse his plane ticket for him to not board the plane. He boarded the plane anyway, then messaged me again to tell me he was in my city (with descriptions of the small local airport which proved he was here). This could all have been avoided if I was capable of lying. If I simply said "you can't come I have a boyfriend and I'm with him", you bet he wouldn't have flown. Men don't want to be "cucks", however they have zero respect for women and what they are imposing on them. And it sucks that the only way I could have "proved" I wasn't into him would have been to fuck another man. I don't want to have to fuck anyone or invent stuff just to get a man off me. They are just possessive assholes. They want to possess something and if you don't have a boyfriend they think they'll be the one to possess you and the only way they might stop is if they think you belong to another man.

Bruh I remember when I was talking to a tube station to go somewhere, and this guy followed me there. He got in front of me and tired to talk to me. I scowled and told him my train was coming and walked passed him.

What’s scary is when a woman simply declines without giving that excuse and the lvm turns out to murder her. There are cases of this happening and it really frightens me. Which is why I will wear a wedding ring at certain places I go. Or give the bf excuse.

It’s a sad but true fact.

There's probably men calling him a simp for saying that 🙄

The same guys who tell women to "just say no" also don't realize that saying no doesn't deter creeps, and can actually be dangerous.

Kinda of topic, maybe not. My worst one was "I can f*ck the depression out of you." Special dude.
