I literally just got out of a 2yr relationship where I had to teach a GROWN ASS 30yo MAN that you CANNOT apologize with a sorry+but. Too many times the apologies I was getting was only said because I got angry. My previous LVMs didn’t have any ability to self reflect. They wanted to just get it over with so I wouldn’t be upset. 🙄 Truly I felt like I was a nagging mother. Of course I dumped their asses. 💁‍♀️👸

Same with “I’m sorry, that wasn’t my intention.” Intentions mean nothing when the fact of the matter is your actions have caused hurt feelings. It’s like saying “hey I’m sorry I hit you with my car, that wasn’t my intention” and expecting to get away with it without any accountability.
