Never paid for a man and never will. I'm a woman of colour too. Black women are expected to do it all and be the breadwinner.

I own my home and a car and have steady work. If a man can’t get me a better house, car and life I’m uninterested. Men need to be providers and pay. I dearly wish my father who was a provider himself would’ve programmed that into me. Would’ve saved me 20 years of dating complete losers.

Where are those men I was “investing” in now? They aren’t here now paying my mortgage that’s for sure..

I learned this the hard way with my first boyfriend. Once they know you are willing and able to pay for their shit youll suddenly find yourself with no money.
