Where can I learn what not to wear now im 30?

Follow people who’s style you admire on Instagram or YouTube. They even have professional stylists who share tips. Buy magazines and pay attention to what the women wear and copy that.

I think you know what things aren’t ages appropriate, so just don’t wear them. It’s not like you’re coming from a place of not understanding.

I don’t think anything about people who lack maturity in their style. I notice people with excellent style and I notice people who have no idea what they’re doing. Anything in between kind of just looks normal to me.

I get what you’re saying but you’re 30 not 90. Live a little! Inspiration can be found anywhere the best style is where people know their body type. Fit is important!

Personally I think if you dress for what is right for your body, it’s hard for you to go wrong regardless of age. That depends on your body type, cut of clothing, colours, occasion.

I’ve always loved dresses that accentuate my figure (and that hasn’t changed much since I was in my late teens, 20s). Plus a lot of dress and skirt styles suit a wide age range too! As long as you feel put together, you can rock that look.

For the most part (aside from really obvious stuff like overalls and onsies) the clothing that is not appropriate for women who aren’t quite young anymore was never appropriate in the first place. Excessive cleavage, too short dresses, ass tight pants- these are the things that people will look at you sideways for wearing at 30, but 22 year olds ought not be wearing them anyway. It’s difficult to say what you should wear without your body type, but most of it is common sense; there isn’t some secret dress code that you’ll accidentally mess up.

I'm a flight attendant who chooses to wear a dress uniform. I wear heels and put my hair up in a sort of braid crown or french braid. They mention in training how important it is to be put together. If there's an emergency, are you take a shabby looking flight attendant seriously or the one that took the time to look put together?

On my layovers, I'm wearing a graphic tshirt and jeans. I have zero incentive to dress femininely during these times because I am already married. In a way, I am signaling to men that I am not interested in fooling around.

While at home, I tend to dress more femininely. I go to Japan often and dress even more so. I feel highly self-conscious while I'm there to dress in my best. My younger brother was even impressed with how well put together Tokyo women are. Uniqlo has some of the best designs at reasonable prices.

Shop in some higher end places and invest in a few pieces that'll stand the test of time. Places like Zara etc are really good for this. Look at how old people shopping are: do they look like girls, or women?

Also find your colour palette and shop within that.

YouTube, IG, and Pinterest can be helpful. Dresses and sweaters are some of the easiest fixes to that. But every now and then there’s nothing wrong with kitschy, silly, and youngish clothes. Time and place is key.

I personally think it is ok to have your own style expressed in a casual setting. However, when in a more formal setting such as in the office, a job interview , a formal dinner etc. then it is time to cut back on those younger styles you may be more drawn to and dress more appropriately for the occasion with a hint of your own personal style added. Don't get me wrong, it does not mean you should dress like the masses but more appropriate to the formal occasion with a hint of your own personal style added. That is what I try to do. I think you should wear what you love, what's flattering, and what makes you feel pretty. If you love your graphic tees, then try pairing one with tailored pants or a pencil skirt and a loafer or low heel to make it classier, rather than just throwing on jeans and Keds. There are ways to "dress up" any piece.

there are some incredibly poised and stylish older (as in not the sexy teenagers everyone loves now) celebrities. Not talking the kardashians obviously. Follow some women on Instagram with nice style. I’ll name a few for you : melania trump, emma roberts, Laura dern, Linda cardellini, kate beckinsale. I tried to include women who not only have good style but also whose instagrams reflect it regularly.

Look at fashion trends over time. Look at what doesn't go out of style. Simple, elegant, somewhat modest always works. The busier it is, the less it flatters your figure, the more you want to avoid it. Heck, just learning what cuts and colors don't work on you is half the battle.

Depends on your shape, if you are reasonably fit you can rock revealing stuff and still look good. You are not ''old'' yet per se, in fact you shouldn't start worrying about this until ten years from now and even then, I have seen 40 years old women that still look great.

Look at fashion in europe. I feel america's style is really childish. Look at older movies, with classic style women. Im not 30 but I got a lot of inspiration from Meryl Streep in some of her old movies (1980s)
