In my pick me days I dated a guy I was way too physically attracted to and thought I could “nice him” enough into loving me. I eventually walked away realizing that I could give and give forever and he’d never love me the way I deserved. The nicer I was to him it seemed like the worse he treated me/cared. Even though I ended it curiosity compelled me to continue to lurk on his social media. He got into a new relationship super quick and he seemed to be giving her all of the commitment, affection, fidelity and effort he wouldn’t give to me. I noticed from her social media that he got her thoughtful gifts. Posted gushy pics of her. He proposed in three months. She was soon pregnant. I thought “wow, he’s really stepping up for her 😞.” The whole thing seemed like a whirlwind romance...on social media.

And then around month 5 I started to notice that all was not as it seemed. She would go through weeks long stretches of changing her status to “single,” Unfollowing him, removing pics of each other, and posting “Know your worth” type quotes and images. Then a few weeks later they would be back together. This went on and off for 8 months and SHE STILL married him some reason. For about a month after the wedding it was all holiday family pics and “so glad we made it through the rough patches” and “I’m so happy to be a WIFE with a husband who fought for me.”

A month later she was back to removing their couple pics off her social media. Posting “I’m better off alone” type stuff. She changed back to her maiden name. They both changed their status to single. She was 9 months pregnant, his wife, and he still couldn’t act right. Now she has an infant and is attached to this LVM for life.

All that glitters isn’t gold. A LVM ALWAYS outs himself eventually. He wants to feel like he’s high value but can’t maintain the false persona indefinitely,so once the shiny exterior fades and he’s finally exposed himself as truly of low value YOU become the bad guy for making him see himself as he really is. He tells himself something is wrong with YOU that is making him be this sorry excuse for a man. He will move on to a new to woman, hoping that she will be “the right one” and having done ZERO work to improve himself. The cycle continues... you didn’t miss out. You dodged a bullet
