My Mum did this in the 90s and worked full time.

The FDS podcast does a great bit on boomer relationship dynamics and how this really fucked us up.

Most guys my age saw their mothers working AND doing all the cooking, cleaning, childcare, and pandering to husbands etc, and this is what they think relationships/marriage/family is supposed to be like. They saw mothers do everything for them as little baby kings and as well as everything for their fathers as big baby kings. And this is how they understand and what they expect from women.

First off, I would like to clarify that there is nothing wrong with caring for your HUSBAND, when he equally cares for you back.

The page that posted this is a red pilled page on instagram run by a bald guy who's past the wall (in his 50s lol) who is very bitter about women. Most of his posts are alright, but he drops very weird gems like these once in a while. It's quite clear he does so to get a reaction, and if that's not the case, then It's probably something he is preaching to his followers. He has made another post saying how women have become non-sexy and feminist and have stopped looking good for the "traditional and masculine man". The problem that I saw with the post as a woman whose mother was a housewife and suffered a ton as she was married off at 18 and had no degree, is just that. Encouraging young girls to marry early (obviously he wouldn't want to marry more mature and capable women) and to become housewives. No man ever is taught on how to be a good masculine man who provides and fulfills the wishes of the woman he's married to, but everyone tells young girls and adult women to be more "feminine". I don't find anything wrong with femininity in itself, I just hate the definition that has been made by men. To be giving, but to never expect to receive. The worst case scenario I can think of for a housewife is this, what if he turns out to be an abusive husband who beats you? Since he is the only provider in the house for your kids and you, would you stay stuck in that situation forever? A lot of marriages in the past and even today go on like this. Being a housewife is not an accomplishment, even though I respect them very much.

Besides, All of these things are serving the man, it even mentions to not bring up your own problems, to be quiet, to please him with delicious dinner...why? Not that there's anything wrong with doing these things. But knowing the nature of men, why would you do this?

I’m remembering my friend in the 80s whose mom and dad both worked. The dad was fat and worked third shift in a factory and did nothing but sleep all day and yell at us if we disturbed his precious sleep. The mom was thin and pretty and did everything around the house when she got home from work after we got out of school. They were not rich by any means, it was a small house and they drove geo metros (the cheapest compact car you could buy). I just can’t imagine working full time and come home to taking care of the kids while the fat man just slept and did nothing but work his shitty factory job and then watch football in his basement man cave that was dedicated completely to him like he deserves a whole floor of the house while the mom gets nothing.

The fucked up thing is that I’d actually ENJOY doing stuff like this because it’s FUN (for me at least.) But I CAN’T do it because for whatever reason, men will hate you if you do these things for them! It’s like a switch goes off in their brain and they view you as a slave unworthy of all respect. When I begin to view being considerate to men as a type of guilty pleasure, like eating junk food, sleeping in, procrastinating, etc, is raises all sorts of questions regarding their warped psychology. I’m beginning to think that if you have a domestic side and do stuff like cook for them, they see it almost as if you’ve consented to a very degrading sexual act, since they pornophy everything. They’ll hate us for not doing these things but hate us even MORE if we do them. Why tf are they always trying to trick us and then claim we’re the “complicated” ones?

One thing I hate about liberal feminism is how they’ve encouraged men to be raised to grow up into weaklings who make excuses for everything - this is that last thing we as women needed. Men were held to standards, but now they aren’t and only we are! Also, many liberal feminists have claimed that men are forced to be too “stoic” and that this promotes misogyny...I don’t know about you guys but I really doubt Elliot rodger’s issue is that he was too “stoic.” I also really doubt that my ex who threatened to bury be alive said so from a place of “stoicism” either, nor my softboy ex who felt entitled to cheat the entire time because he thinks he’s the weakest person alive and feels sorry for himself.

We as women are taught to suck it up, be tough, and not complain when we go thru traumas like sexual assaults. No one cares when we cry because it’s seen as “vapid” or “manipulation” so guess what? We stop. But it is men who are taught to play the victim and are praised for crying as if they deserve a trophy. If they had to go thru what we did, they’d have a nervous breakdown

No joke, there were copies of this exact book in my high school, around 1999-2000. I remember reading this page and getting angry.
