It's going to get much worse. I fully expect had to hit $3.50 by the end of summer. I expect groceries to go up another 10-15%. With wood (Used to make pallets) spiking 250% and increased fuel costs, groceries are going to cost a fortune to ship.

Oil is up to $65 a barrel now. It was $30 pre COVID.

It is predicted to go to $100 a barrel by end of 2022. That should bring it up to Obama levels for a gallon of gas.

The USA was actually exporting oil past few years.

I hope my math is not wrong, but 1 gallon is roughly 3.8 Litres. 1 Litres of gas cost around 1.31€ average in my area from what I found on google.

So lets multiplay 1.31€ times 3.8 = 4.978€ which is $5,98 per gallon.

Keep in mind this is also the cheapest stuff I could find. Most modern cars need the stuff they sell for 1.50€ per litres. From experience if you want a full tank you easily pay 60-80€ ($75-$100) ON AVERAGE.

EDIT: I directly compared the prices on a website and it says EU = $6-7 per gallon.

For those that don’t know anything about oil, look up WTI crude or Brent crude (Europe) to see the price of a barrel of oil.

It was already low before COVID. COVID actually made it go negative, but now we higher than pre-COVID. If you have a pickup truck or large SUV, it’s going to get expensive.

You probly aren’t able to recognize this but the gas prices are going up specifically because demand is increasing with post(ish)-COVID spikes in travel and return to work activity coupled with limiting crude supply by US and OPEC producers. Everything today concerning delivery remains just as it was pre-Biden so it’s a specious argument to make. But I do get that it makes you feel better, even if you are wrong.
