God this is so true. My ex is a narcissist, I came to realize in recent years, and that explains a LOT. It absolutely boggled my mind how I would have to explain very basic things over and over again to a 43 year old university educated man. Quite simply, it was because he liked making me feel frustrated and uncomfortable.

If you ask someone to do X and they either can’t or refuse, or pull the crap mentioned in this video, then the options are either

Continue putting up with it
Remove yourself

As soon as you figure out you’re in a situation like this with a narcissist, remove yourself

I have not yet researched any of this, but - is there “recovery” from being a narcissist?

This has been my life for so long - shackled to this scenario - I’m exhausted and done. I’ve made that decision and I’m good with it.

But I am curious if people can ever get out of that condition.

One thing I noticed while dating my narc ex, you are forced to go over the same issues time and time again because nothing is ever satisfactorily resolved. The reason there is never an actual resolution to any concern is because there is no benefit to the narc in resolving it.
