This is not so much a CMV as more or less a hypothesis and an attempt to explain how a part of female sexuality works - and how men see their relationships. Developed over a year or so of lurking here and on the various Discord servers.
Essentially women appear to see sex as a kind of....mini-story, really. A situation, with context, significance and all kinds of things going on that eventually results in or involves the actual physical act of fucking. The fantasy, and how she sees herself, the man and the situation, mind you, is crucial and more relevant than the actual physicalities of the thing.
Which is why seduction for women starts much earlier (and if they're horny they'll do it to themselves, latching on to things they see or hear or aspects of the situations and building on them in her imagination) and is a mixture of her headspace and physical reality. This also has a lot of different implications, many of which I at least haven't figured out, but one of the big ones is that if something happens that contradicts or disproves the sexual fantasy a woman was spinning up it can absolutely take her out of the moment and kill her arousal.
Meanwhile men are much simpler than that - meaningful, interesting or special sex and situations are better, but they can fuck almost entirely mechnically. Because they're not the gatekeepers and do alright for themselves even with mediocre sex
Meanwhile on the other hand...men are almost the same way about their relationships. IF, and that is IF, they actually get involved and consider commitment (rather than just stringing women along or juggling plates) they usually have a kind of relationship narrative going on. An explanation to themselves, if you will, why this relationship is worthwhile and special and whatnot. It can be many different things that have at least some basis in her personality or mutual history (from the generic "We're special to each other" to things like "She's the ride and die companion that will also join me in my BDSM-swinger lifestyle") - but they're often partially fantasy and perception built on and above the actual reality. It needn't even be specific words, mind you, it can be as vague as a feeling, but most men have SOMETHING they see in their relationship.
And if a woman happens to do something that disrupts or disproves this narrative she can literally kill the man's love for her, whether it's based on a fantasy and not reality or because they changed or whatever. This is one of the reasons why a lot of men take cheating harder (because it kills a lot of potential relationship narratives).
Also: Wonder why men simp so hard for random thots on Twitch or Onlyfans, to the tune of tens or hundreds of dollars? Because they spun a relationship fantasy on the most tenuous of bases. (And Belle Delphine killed that for many of her simps when she actually did porn. Oh well.)
Meanwhile women can stay in relationships as long as they "kinda feel the right way", and are less picky about them - the threshold below which women would rather be single than in a relationship is definitely lower for them than for men.
So. That's that. The hypothesis, and it could be more polished, but it's out there. I'd be happy about any kind of feedback or discussion.
