How to deal with the Red Pill notion that young men are slowly becoming sex deprived while young women are riding the CC?

Here's what the paper says:

51% of men claim when they went to uni, making friends was an higher priority than having sex (vs 64% of women);
When people started uni, 41% of men and 44% of women were virgins (notice how similar the stat is);
26% of men and 25% had never kissed anyone (again, notice how similar the stat is);
Actually, 16% of men and 17% of women claim they had never even flirted with anyone
Only 20% of men and 12% of women were excited to have sex when they went to college;
At start of Uni, 23% of women were in a long distance relationship vs 13% of men;
As a student, 34% of females vs 27% of males have been in one or more intimate relationships;
21% of males and 23% of females have had a intimate relationship end while on university;
Only 18% of men vs 27% claim they flirted with someone new at their first week of college;
Furthermore, 3% of people prefered not to answer the questions above while 8% claimed none of the questions above applied to them (probably troll subjects or lazy people not wanting to answer)

In terms of actual sexual behavior:

13% of both men and women kissed someone new within the welcoming period at uni, while 11% of men and 7% of women had sex with someone new;
As already known, 34% of male and 44% of females had sex while being a student;
38% of women and 23% of men are in a long term relationship;
Only 22% of women and 18% of men have used a dating app in their entire lifes;
Only 11% of men and 7% of women are currently using dating apps;
Only 14% of men and 7% of women claim to have used dating apps looking for casual sex;
10% of men and 12% of women are voluntarily celibate;
Out of the sexually active women and men in college (the 44% and 34%) 43% of men and 57% of women only had 1 sexual partner. 28% of men and 25% of women had 2-3 partners. 20% of men and 13% of women had 4 to 9, and only 7% of men and 4% of women had more than 10. 2% of men and 1% of women prefer not to disclose their numbers.
1% of females and 4% of males paid for sex while on college;
64% of people are neutral or satisfied with their relationship or sex lives in college.

The cold, rational true that the paper shows is that the overwhelming majority of men and women aren't having sex. This appears to be very related to the fact that, for whatever reason, young people aren't making sex a priority. Out of the people who do, women take a 10% lead, but the majority of sex is also happening within relationships, with that 10% lead probably being partially explained by the fact that women are more likely than men to be in a relationship. The CC is largely a myth juding by these stats. But, of course, since my take down doesn't appeal to people's insecurities these tweets will be taken as another doomsday warning in incel forums.

Not to be rude at all, but it might sound that way, but this could also be what you're doing with your time. Are these sexless men spending most of their day consuming Red Pill material or going out and running/jogging? Are you saying because women appear to have more sexual opportunity than men, you believe a position of hostility and blaming is in order? It would be more constructive if you were to reconsider your own attractiveness, ideas about women's sexuality, social obligations and any retro jealousy you might have.

Allowing women to enjoy their own bodies is good for everyone.

And be sure to read that article carefully. A lot of them don't hold up well when you look too closely.

Is there anything suggesting that they're specifically having sexual activity with men?

With that being said - the telegraph report is behind a paid subscription wall so it's hard to find where they got their statistics from - how many people were in this study? Where were they from? What was the study doing? Who funded it?

Additionally, the only thing I could find was a few years old and suggested that:

Rates of sex are going down for all genders, so while there is discrepancy it's not that sex is going up amongst women and down amongst men, it's going down for everyone.
The only major study I can find is talking about people who hadn't had sex 'in the last 12 months' which is quite a different sort of statistic.

Also, women can have sex with whoever they want. It's not something that necessarily needs social fixing - why is it that women having more sex and men having less is viewed as some society destroying thing when if it were the opposite people probably wouldn't care/it would be viewed as 'normal'. Like, yeah, it would be nice if the people who weren't having sex and wanted it could have it, but this isn't some nefarious plot or deep seated 'nature' of women, it's just a change in society that will likely balance itself out or be influenced by other factors as they crop up.

Most of the 'sexlessness' data suggests it's related to increased internet usage/talking online rather than in person etc. So maybe the take away should be 'men are more likely to game/move entirely online whilst women are more likely to expected to go out and socialise in person - so they're going to meet fewer men with which to be sexually active'. I'm not saying this is the case or that men should go out more, I'm just suggesting that there are many, many other ways to understand and interpret these (regurgitated and hard to find the original data for) statistics, rather than assuming that the red pill interpretation must be correct - you state that you had left so you recognise is wrong in many of it's other interpretations, why not also this one?

Essentially it comes down to the idea that yeah, there is this data, but it's quite obscured by pay walls and media reporting, so it's hard to fully understand what it 'means', so why jump to the explanation that relies on painting half the population with some desires/characteristics/deep nature that nothing else seems to point to? Just seems like seeing a crop circle and assuming it must be aliens, when there are other - maybe more complicated, maybe more messy, explanations that likely make much more actual, real world, sense.

The true number is 8

So, the same sources they use to justify "incel dystopia" also clearly state that the CC isn't true, starting on the fact that 40 year old women have had 8 partners and ending on the fact that 53% of women are sexually inactive, but since this isn't flattering for their own conspiracy propaganda to justify feeling sorry about themselves they just completely ignore it. Worse than that, nobody points it out. It's obvious that the whole discussion isn't intellectualy honest when people can't even identify the arguments that utterly crush their agenda to start with. It literally says that people have very innacurate views of other people's sex lifes. LMAO!

I won't comment further until i have original source (the paper), not the Telegraph cover. My guess is that this is misinterpreted and taken out of context like almost every incel cry. I'd hardly be suprised if 17 year old freshmen during covid aren't getting laid. But it's obvious this isn't an independent, well thought, fact checked review of science, just the average intellectually dishonest, agenda driven share of a media coverage. Like every incel cry.

Well it's for very good reason and good job for doing your own research sir. Young men are having less and less sex by the decade while woman are becoming more promiscuous. It seems rather strange you call it "relapsing" as if it's a drug but the red pill does get the 80-20 rule right. Where most woman prefer to sleep with the top men rather than hooking up with an average or below average male. I'm not sure what other theory would explain this but I'm definitely open to discussion

I don't know why it's considered a controversy that women may be more sexually active than men. Mothers also outnumber fathers. The truth is that it's always been this way. Women can access sexual companionship in ways that men cannot because they are the gatekeepers of it. I even came across a study recently which claimed that only 40 percent of men in human history, were able to successfully reproduce. In other words, the majority of offspring were fathered by a minority of men.

Why do you care so much about who others are having sex with? Even if this was true, which it isn’t according to the above commenters who actually bothered to read the full source, if that’s enough to send you reeling into a depressive episode then you need to seek further help outside of Reddit. Your worth is not defined by the amount of sexual partners you have. You are putting way too much emphasis on an activity that takes up maybe 15 minutes of someone’s day and that is your real problem. Do you also get upset if you find out someone masturbates more than you? No. So don’t worry about how others choose to get off, stop thinking of sex as an accomplishment, and focus on becoming a well rounded person that others might actually want to be around for the other 1425 minutes of the day.
