I’ve always felt this way. I’ve never married a man, never lived with a man, and have never dated one for more than a few months because they just add drama to my life and make me tired. There is nothing positive that a man can add to my life.
If anything, I’d revise the saying to “like a fish needs toxic waste in the water” because rather than being unnecessary, men almost always make women’s lives worse.
