My GF recently told me she wants to stay at home and be a housewife. I'm divorced and now fiercely anti marriage, so I told her that A) we wouldn't be getting married EVER, B) I wouldn't be living with her EVER and C) that even if we did, if I have to work so does she. I also told her she was welcome to find that elsewhere if she wanted as there was no way I was changing my mind. As a working adult I just cannot fathom how another adult can be so lazy as to expect their partner to slave away 5 days out of 7 so they can sit around and do nothing. My ExW was a stay at home mum and a lazy bitch who never did the housework which was part of the deal if she stayed home. I'll be damned if I'm ever going back to that sort of nightmare again.

Feminism was pushed by the ruling class to double the workforce, and women ate it up. They didn’t realise how good they had it by not having to work. They believed that men had it made, when really they were nothing but wage slaves. Now women are wage slaves too, ain’t all it’s cracked up to be, is it? Now we have twice the number of working people earning half the wage. And unfortunately it means that most men won’t earn enough to support an entire family and a stay-at-home wife on his single salary. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to deny women (or anyone) the ability to build the life and career they want, but let’s be real, most of us don’t have dream careers, and we suffer through this shit because we don’t have any other choice. Billions of us are now overworked, underpaid, and depressed.

Modern housewifing is a privilege no men should be required to provide. What really shocks me is when I come to pro-men subs and find men saying things like “it’s a man’s job to provide for a woman”. I mean, what? You have a hardon for providing for some mistress, then go for it, but stop projecting. Some men are looking for a partner who can also bring something to the table so they can afford a better life together, some are struggling to even eat. Women aren’t children and should absolutely be responsible for their own financial lives.

I flat out refused my wife the privilege. It's 50% 50% or she can go be the big girl. The same thing when she said you earn more than I do. You should pay more.

I told her we make the same per hour. So it's unfair. If she likes to balance things, she can work more or I less. Money stays the same

This is ridiculous. Women stayed at home and raised kids and they complained that they wanted to work. Now they are working and they want to stay at home. Its almost like women want to be able to choose which one is better for them instead of being forced into one of the roles.

I think families should do what's best for them. As a man, if my wife wants to stay home and raise kids, she is welcome to do so. Anyone with kids knows how important it is to have someone you trust looking after them.

I certainly wouldn't resent my wife for wanting to raise our children to our standards. Im not sure why there us so much hate for women wanting to raise children. I think most men would like to raise their children too. Most parents do.

My wife's best friend at her university worked her ass off for 5 years to get a degree in teaching then another year in the credential program. She did one year of teaching, got pregnant and decided to be a stay at home mom. Now her husband gets to pay off her student loans and who the f#ck works towards something for 5 or 6 years and then just abandons all that hard work??
