Really we need to be less PC about issues like this. We need to de escalate the idea that minor violence is an issue. Basically stop criminalizing men and accept men can fight back. We seem to expect that men are punching bags for woman who have to take it like a man.

This is a perfect example that a "Kiss Cam" isn't good. I never understood why some countries have them (since where I come from they don't have that) because it isn't that interesting, but it also works as bad peer pressure.

If the roles were reversed it would still be assault abd not be justified.

I do think before the violence that it is shitty he didn't say no. He actually pulled away from her, didn't tell her no, didn't treat her respectfully after he'd just had his arm around her. But that does not justify assault. It does not mean his actions are equal or worse than her actions. They aren't. Hers are worse undeniably.
