Just imagine, if ONE boy in each state of the US was falsly accused and eventually proven innocent - like those Israeli boys you mention - looking here at mensrights that week you would see 50 stories, what you would not see are the millions of boys that it didn't happen too.

It IS dangerous, it IS scary - but no one can say what direction it will head in, maybe it has peaked and will improve from here, maybe we ain't seen nothin yet.

Don't go down the rabbit hole of the "black pill". I can tell you I've never been falsely accused of rape, and I've only witnessed it one time in college. But pretty much everyone besides the boyfriend she cheated on was on the man's side. She never went to the police and the guy wasn't kicked out of school.

Could it have been worse for him? Sure. But in the real world people are hooking up all the time and not accusing each other of rape.

The only thing you really need to be careful about is getting a woman pregnant. Child custody and child support issues probably trump everything else in terms of magnitude and frequency. If you really want to come in a woman, make sure she's on the pill, make sure she's not baby crazy, and make sure she's late in her cycle (close to having another period when she statically can't get pregnant). Otherwise pull out or use a condom. Just use good judgement and you should be fine. A few seconds of joy aren't worth a lifetime of slavery.

Edit -- another thing is that women will ask you to come inside of them without a condom. They enjoy how it feels. Don't assume that because she tells you to that it's ok. She could be tricking you, or more likely, she could be tricking herself into thinking it's ok (despite what some men think, the later is realistically far more common). Just be really careful not to get a girl pregnant. Be paranoid about it, even. It really can ruin your life.

I like to use statistics to determine whether I should be worried about things like this. If the FBI stats are correct about false rape accusations and the number of rapes that happen, then men are roughly as likely to get murdered than to be falsely accused.

Do I worry about being murdered in my day-to-day life? No.

Do I take precautions in situations and places where it is more likely to happen? Yes.

I think the truly scary thing about false accusations is that there seem to be few repercussions for the people who make them, and even if you are exonerated, the social damage done may lose you your job, your family, and in some extreme instances, your life.

The best you can do is be careful with your words and your actions in situations where it is more likely to happen. Make sure you get to know people well before you speak freely around them. Good luck my dude.

Being worried about these things is, overall, probably good for you. At least you have your eyes open to the issues. The trick is not to let fear over these things prevent you from doing things at all.

Continue to educate yourself about the risks that you face. Take steps to ensure that you don't get put in situations that could get you in trouble. Set boundaries and make sure you understand the boundaries set by other people. If you're worried about what a girl might do, talk with her about it and if she doesn't take it seriously then stop interacting with her. Never leave a woman alone with a used condom.

Ultimately, as a 14-year-old-dude, the biggest risk you face by far is dying in a car accident; but if you know what your risks are, and you know how to identify them and either avoid them or seek help dealing with them, you'll come out fine on the other side.

In addition to what others have said, having been around for a while, I think the current panic will die down. I think the #metoo movement has already slowed down, having fulfilled much of its purpose and unfortunately, taking down some people it probably shouldn't have.

In the 80s, we had the War on Drugs, and it was EVERYWHERE. Every politician and celebrity had to come out against drugs. Every school classroom had multiple posters against drugs. Every kids show had PSAs about the dangers of drug usage, often interwoven with the plot. TV and movie plots were constantly about evil drug dealers or users. Never mind that few of the kids subjected to these ads would have ever done drugs anyway. It really seemed that, as long as anyone in this country was using drugs, the entire culture would be desperately looking to root it out.

If we had social media in the 80s, Twitter would have been full of people looking for reasons to accuse each other of using drugs. Buzzfeed would be full of elaborate take-downs of people in power who may have ever been near drugs. People would have been stumbling over themselves to "cancel" celebrities who had secretly used drugs.

And then it just slowed down and stopped. Why? There are probably numerous reasons, but drugs didn't go away. There wasn't much of a difference in usage, and trends didn't seem much affected by the increased/decreased attention. People just lost interest. They moved on to gay rights and stem cells and the Iraq War and income inequality.

I think the Twitterverse's current obsession with rooting out bigotry and sexual misconduct, even when it isn't really there, is similar. When you're in one, it feels like it's a permanent state of affairs, but eventually, people always lose interest and move on to the next trendy moral panic.

Black parents have "the talk" with their sons about how life isn't fair and people will screw you for who you are. White people instead if anything tell their sons how privileged they are. I think you might be suffering from heightened expectations. They told you you were privileged and they lied. You'll get used to it. Most men in our society get so used to it they never even see it. Maybe they'll make a few jokes about it but never seriously question what they were told all their life. People acclimatize. But if you were born in a Western country you're probably doing pretty decently, right? People get used to just about anything.

I've been falsely accused by a woman I was dating, arrested for those accusations, and suffered the resulting consequences (Check my history and read my 2nd post).

What I experienced is very uncommon, and for the most part could have been avoided if I had just been less blind to what I now realize were huge and obvious red flags. I chose to ignore them because I thought any relationship, however toxic, is better than no relationship at all. This, of course, can't be further from the truth.

Your youth is supposed to be the best time of your life. You're supposed to enjoy life right now, not be terrified. Just remember that if things don't seem to be working out with whomever you're dating it's best to end the relationship maturely so that you won't miss a better opportunity when it comes along. If you're not happy in a relationship, that means it's not working out.

Meaning, if you think a girl is cute and she starts spewing shit about the wage gap or men should pay for dinner on the first date but wants equality, then you don’t need to ruin your gene pool with her.

Don't be, but perhaps make your future more secure by avoiding becoming a teacher or a journalist, or other vocation that might tend more towards a "believe women" approach. Don't sleep around at college/university. Keep some distance from vindictive women if possible. Vet potential romantic partners fairness, vindictiveness, and maliciousness.

False allegations landing you in a courtroom is nasty but also rare, because courtrooms even now have significant barriers towards simply taking someone's word for it unlike society at large. Because of this, malicious actors are much more likely to attempt to attack one's friend group, work etc than risk court.

The truth is there are lots of things in like that can fall out the sky and ruin you. Get used to it, and especially drive safe (because carelessness or unluckiness in that area is among the most likely to randomly kill/maim you). We like to talk here about a world where there could be a few less such dangers through a human right's perspective, but there are more than human rights issues that pose that sort of danger.

I'm somewhat the opposite; what I've read online has never really bothered me, it's what I've seen -- and experienced -- in real life that has me thinking better about being involved with women. From a father who was abused and never respected by my mother, to reluctantly accepting that I have literally the worst taste in women ever, to losing my job and almost my life because of a false accusation, to that one coworker who hoped he could get just one week of paternity leave if his wife allowed it, to so many other horrible and depressing existences suffered by my brother and male cousins as a result of getting married, to other things, that I just stopped even trying or caring about relationships or intimacy.

Strange thing though...once that happened I didn't go full black pill, and I instead was able to objectively consider and recognize the actual pros and cons behind female companionship. Once I saw it as a kind of economic equation, it became so much simpler, and it turned into a kind of healthy ambivalence...it was good when it happened, and good when it didn't. Or maybe I was just old enough by that point that my dick didn't make bad decisions for me any more. There is something to be said for being clear of the heady mix of hormones that affects you when you are young.

I really don't envy kids growing up these days, but there may be some technological advances coming soon that could have a significant effect on what I see as a long-term unworkable transition period in the evolution of our society. There will be a number of lost generations between now and then though, but in the big picture this unstable period won't last forever.

You might also suffer from mean world syndrome. Be aware that what you see posted here goes through a selection process. There are a few good news related to men's rights, that sometimes get posted, but all that you will see here is the selection of times it went wrong. For every article saying some woman accused an innocent man, you have thousands upon thousands of cases where a woman had the opportunity to do just that and didn't. There's a selection bias. If you feel overwhelmed by the misery going on in the world, it can be good to just log off the internet a bit. My advice would be for you to be aware that those kind of things can happen, and to be extra careful in screening the people you want to hang out with.

Now, I'm not from the US, so the situation is somewhat different, but I have very rarely been confronted to the kind of people being discussed here, because I tend to stay away from the redflags I see in people.

You have the right to not want to hang out with some people. You have a right to decide "this girl isn't good for me, I have to leave". Or "these people are bad friends, I don't want to hang out with them".

Once you find a few people you are really comfortable with cherish those friendships. You are still young, which means that you still have quite a few years hanging out with other people your age, which gives usually plenty of opportunity to meet people you like. I have several lifelong friends that I have met in high-school and university. It might go up to 10 people that whenever I meet them, we can pick up the conversation where we left it, even if several years have passed. Because I carefully picked the people I wanted to spend my time with. My girlfriend has many times more acquaintances, but very few of such friends, and she envies me for that, even though in fact we see more of her acquaintances than of my friends.

But with those people around me, I don't have to worry of being falsely accused. I don't have to worry about them abandoning me if that were to happen. They can count on me, I can count on them, and the world is much less scarier that way.

Basically, "first clean your room, put your life in order before you think about fixing the world" ;).

Is there reason to be wary of the world? Sure. You will find plenty of those here. But if you feel overwhelmed by that, it would be better if you first focused on yourself. Find people you can count on, get a good situation. Become the best man you can. And don't worry about not helping in the meanwhile. Because you focusing on yourself and trying to become as good as you can is of help. Then come back to help us when you feel your grounding is sufficient to be reliable, when you are less scared about what might happen to you.

I just got passed over for a job I was beyond qualified for for a young black girl who was previously employed at Walmart. I asked a friend who worked there because I was so dumbfounded I didn't get the job.

From what he said, I never had the job to begin with. I was only being given an interview to keep up the appearance of not turning people down beforehand. The hire was going to be a diversity hire, no matter how qualified the person was.
