I don't think I want to give up. I'm willing to take the heat from feminists if it eventually opens up a dialogue.

What dialogue is there to be had? These rabid man-haters turned on Warren Farrell and Erin Pizzey just because they decided to talk about men. Warren Farrell used to be a huge male feminist and Erin Pizzey literally created the concept of the domestic abuse shelter, and with Erin Pizzey in particular feminists fucking killed her dog and chased her out of her country. If feminists aren't even willing to talk about men's issues with the woman who gave women the domestic abuse shelter, what makes you think they will be open to it with you?

Some can be radical as hell, many are not all bad. I'm not gonna give up on connecting the two sane populations of feminists and MRAs.

Ahh yes yes, the "True Scotsman" of the feminist movement.

You dont get to draw conclusions for everyone else. No we shouldn't work with people that 'call in bomb threats, pull fire alarms, lie about us, and protest us'. But the conclusion that all people calling themselves feminists are those people is no different than someone thinking all of us are incels that are only a inch away from shooting up a school or church.

We shouldn't work with people call in bomb threats, pull fire alarms, lie about us, and protest us, and we shouldn't work with people who draw hateful conclusions and present their arguments as a conclusion for all of us in bad faith either.

So if you want to be taken seriously, consider changing your tact. Not everyone is a 14 year old high schooler on whom that type of rhetoric will work. I don't like a LOT of things about feminism, but to pretend that anyone who picks up that flag is automatically an enemy is feeble-minded at best, and hateful at worst.

You are the exact type of feminist I hate, except you’re on the other side. You’re just like those radical feminists.

Feminism used to be good because they fought for the right to vote and the right to the same wage and the same jobs and the same opportunity. 1st wave feminism IS good in most of their ideology. You don’t think that women deserve the same rights as men, but men should have the same rights of women? You’re the one acting like a child here. MRM shouldn't be to hate women or feminists, it's should be used as a way to inform people that equality for women, isn't equality for men, preferably in a non-aggressive, non-toxic way.

Most of the people here dislike modern feminism because they’re fighting for more rights than men, not for equality. I’d gladly call myself a supporter of first wave feminist rights, (not to be confused with their tact) while I stand here and shout that modern feminism is toxic and terrible. How about instead of jerking off to your own confirmation bias you look up classical feminism and what they fought for.

At this point, it doesn't even matter what I say. Anything that comes out of my hands is wrong to you because instead of having a discussion and informing someone, you're hellbent on proving them wrong. And that wasn't a citation. You never posted the video and you never pointed to the time stamps where she proved me wrong. I've stated that I watched the two hour interview before and instead of refuting that, you've just said I haven't watched it. You're completely and utterly like the radical feminists that people try and have discussions with.

You talk this big game about "using your words" but you just sit there behind your keyboard and scream at people to agree with you or they're stupid. (I sifted through a bit of your profile) The only thing you want to do is argue.

I'm not even making an argument that men weren't treated like shit before. But, women fighting for the right to vote is a good thing in my opinion. Does that mean that shitty things didn't happen to men? Of fucking course not.

I’m not a leftist or a feminist. Just because that guy is so hostile and said I was, doesn’t make it true. I think that feminism used to fight for a decent cause. (Early 20th) Not that they didn’t do it in a bad way sometimes. Most every movement has its bad moments.

Also, that's not a citation to what he was talking about. Because I completely agree with the second comment. That post is almost entirely about modern feminism.

I asked for a simple bit of evidence in the video he was talking about and he refused to provide and people upvoted that rancor. It’s detrimental to MRM to have such hostilities. Because, in every piece of mainstream media, we are all considered to be that guy. Sitting around spewing vitriol about feminism, instead of picking apart their many flawed arguments in a calm manner.

The more we come off as peaceful and open to others opinions, the more people will come. It’s already started to happen. This sub is more popular than r/feminism. Which is great.
