Bit of a backstory

I volunteered at this charity for over a year and hundreds of hours. It's to do with helping young women build careers for their future in STEM.

Fast forward many months later, when I was an intern at work someone made a false accusation against me.

"/u/idigress31337 thinks women should have less rights than men"

and here's the series of events that fucking followed:

  1. Escalated to my manager
  2. Escalated to the CISO
  3. Escalated to my school by proxy
  4. CISO says "one more thing and your fired"

And this whole time:

  1. No one asked me to deny, accept or refute the claim
  2. No one asked me if what I said was true
  3. I had no fucking idea this was going on all along
  4. No due diligence, no investigation -- nothing

And so I offered my resignation and told them that that allegation is complete fucking bullshit, because it is not what I said, and that the only witness there attests that it's not true at all -- not only because it is something that happened many months ago and is just being bought now.

Just like that, everyone shoves it aside and I don't even receive an apology at all. All the while I was treated like shit during that time.

And you know what, if you hate a guy, the easiest way to ruin his life is to just raise a false allegation. People won't even think twice. I fucking hate the corporate world.
