I met my wife on an internet forum where I was discussing male rights and feminism. It was the first time I had encountered a woman who was fiercely pro women’s rights but as equally pro men’s rights. Until then I never knew they existed.

She’s a teacher and goes above and beyond to ensure that the boys get treated well in an environment where it’s predominately female teachers. She had to deliver a ‘gender debate’ and the materials she was given were nothing short of full blown feminist propaganda. She stayed up all night to rewrite the content to be as equalist as possible.

I will celebrate her type of woman on that day.

I will treat International Women's day as women treated International Men's day: ignore it. In my country it was blatantly ignored and it wasn't even mentioned anywhere, so I will do the same. That, to me, is equality. Men are being clearly mistreated and I don't feel comfortable jumping on the "celebrate women" bandwagon, because that to me goes all the way backwards to what I'm fighting for: Men's Rights. That's my two cents though.

I refuse to celebrate a day that divides and puts one person above others. This is nothing but a shout out of superiority by women. If you don't believe me, look at how everything is displayed during this time. The future is female. Women should be in charge. Women are better leaders... I don't even need to link this, as it is on your televisions, radios, billboards and all around you.

This is not a day to celebrate women, but a day to put down half of the planet, to make less of the value of men. I have seen your many posts attempting to defend feminist, Iainmf, including the posts you put on my threads on reddit. You have continually played a manipulation game here, but that is your prerogative. Mine is to help men to gain their rights from this bias society that considers men as disposable and resources for women and government.

On these days where men are attacked so blatantly, the wrong thing to do is roll over and pretend that we are okay with it. The best thing to do, if you are wondering if something is sexist, is role reverse it. If men did what women are doing, it would be completely and hostilely attacked and removed.

My fiancee gave herself to me in the prime of her youth. We met on her 22nd birthday. She had never had a relationship and was a virgin (yes, I know some women lie about that, but if she was lying, then I pity whoever came before me, because I’m nothing special and we still had to take it very slow the first time).

She stuck with me after I lost my job and was unemployed for six months. She stuck by me as I went through the mental hell of being a 911 operator for several years, constantly being yelled at by asshole strangers, listening to people in crisis 100 times a day, and living in fear of the ever-present possibility of the QA department pulling the rug out from under me at any time.

She stuck with me as the stress of that job saw me put on 40 lbs. She never wavered.

When I figured out that I wanted to be a firefighter, she supported me in spite of her fears for my safety. During the long nights, she would wait for me, sleeping on the sofa, even until 2 am. She would cook for me, too.

There were times when we fought. She would tell me how lonely she was with me always being either gone or with my nose in the books. But whenever I asked if she wanted me to stop, she refused to ask that of me. She said she could never tell me not to pursue my ambitions.

I proposed to her a month ago, after 5 years together. The ring was relatively affordable, and she still loved it. Even now, as we try to budget for our wedding, she’s always looking for ways to save money, because she knows I’m not a wealthy man and she doesn’t want to put a huge financial burden on me.

I’ve been with gold diggers, I’ve been with feminists, I’ve been with bitchy hyper-career types, and I’ve been with cheaters. I’ve dated dozens of vapid women from every walk of life, and they were all worthless.

She was the one that was worth a shot. I’m glad I took it.

Been there done that, with virtually every aspect of injustice to men from divorce discrimination to healthcare, job discrimination under the quota system etc.

However, that all lead to meeting my current wife (and best friend), who should be the icon of womanhood as far as I"m concerned.

This is a woman that spent her spare time (if there is such a thing during college life) volunteering at the VA, caring for wounded and disabled veterans. She was there to pick me up after that divorce, a mother and wife first, a professional second to the family. She had it all, but was wise enough to do so at different times in her life, setting priorities based on US, first...and if I asked her about "international women's day", she'd probably roll her eyes and quip about how silly it has all become.

She admires everything that men are, loves the fact that I am all male, knows the great sacrifices we have made to insure and maintain this society (including my time in the military), and often says she'd rather work with men any day...and has never had issues with a man that she, as an adult, could resolve without some feminist beating a drum for her. Every guy I know loves her.

As far as female MRM participants? Never met a greater group of women. In fact, they have been instrumental in pushing the MRM forward, speaking when we could not, supporting us when women were not suppose to, and they have taken a boatload of shit for it from being called Traitors, to patriarchal whores, and beyond. In fact, this years mens conference is being sponsored and held by the, Honey Badgers, Female MRM group.

Hats off to them and all the women that are not lost in the swill of misanthropy. Find a woman that is that girl. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Lead by example. Support the positive progression, let your feelings known on the rest.

Can someone straighten this out for me? If feminism is about equality, then people spending more time and attention on Women's day makes it unequal to mens day. In the interest of equality and feminism, every effort must be made to make Men's day every bit as important as women's day.

Feminism victimisation narratives must be accompanied by equal amounts of male victimisation narratives - equality. That's what feminism demands. All double standards must be eliminated between men's day and women's day - feminism demands they must be equal.

You're going to have to think outside the box here. Crazy outside the box. If I understand this correctly, feminism could be the answer we're looking for. Most of the problems in this sub stem from women receiving preferential treatment. That flies in the face of feminism, if feminism is equality. We have to start pointing this out.
