Good to see. Canada has a shameful lack of help available for male victims, which is telling considering how feminist Prime Minister Trudeau considers himself. This seems common with feminism, "equality" seems to mean ignoring male victims of domestic violence. It's very hypocritical- if feminism gender roles and believing women can be strong and capable, then why can't men experience domestic abuse?

CAFE is planning to open a shelter for abused men and children, and their fundraising goal is 300,000.

That amount could have been covered more than twice over from the amount of money this "sexual assault worker" embezzled from the Regina Sexual Assault Center from 2009 to 2016:

This is amazing, I really hope it meets its goal and opens up. As a Toronto man, I remember less than two years ago a men's shelter was trying to open up on my neighborhood for homeless and men trying to get on their feet after imprisonment or rehabilitation, there were signs on almost every street pole protesting it. Claiming it would be dangerous for women and children in the area. No idea if it ever opened.

I'm not really sure what defines a major metropolitan area, but I know Harrisburg, PA is a metropolitan area and has the Bethesda Mission Men's Shelter. It's a shelter for homeless/abused/addicted men to come to when they need help, so the flier is a bit dishonest saying they are the first in North America. I kind of wish the Mission wasn't religious based though.

While a noble act, if the pattern continues, then the planned shelter will probably be shut down or turned into a women's shelter due to pressure from feminist. I've seen it over and over, someone tries to do even the smallest thing to help men and feminist are all over it. Under the pretense of "equality" they show off once again how much they despise men and what lengths they will go to in order to make sure men suffer.
