Economically - there are 7 states with no income tax - Alaska, Florida, Nevada, S. Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming. New Hampshire and Tennessee have no income tax either, but do tax interest and dividends (usually not a big concern for a younger guy).
If you're trying to maximize your economic gains, those might be good places to consider looking. Most of them are "red" states and if you stay away from the major cities (in some cases even 25 miles can be a big difference) and the counties in which they are located, you should do fine. That's economically speaking, of course. As to the degree of feminism - I think other replies have said it - hard to avoid that - better in some rural areas, but then again, some rural areas are also home to Universities, which probably matters. Find the place that does the best for you economically and lifestyle wise first -- that's a rational priority and then worry about the other stuff.

Sounds like you should head to Riyad. It's not in the US, but it sounds like the kind of society you're looking for. The women aren't bitchy (they don't really even leave the house), if they cheat on you then you can stone them, and protesting is illegal.

Your best bet will be "red" states, out of major cities, in suburban areas that fit the state's median housing cost area.

Here's why:

The "red" state issue is obvious: A conservatively leaning state will have conservatively-leaning laws and the people there tend to have conservatively-leaning lifestyles. It's best to pick a red state with a high median income because many red states also have low median incomes and the people and lifestyles that go with that.

Don't think "conservative" means "good." AWALT still applies

You want to stay out of major cities. Major cities, regardless of state will always be more liberally leaning than the surrounding area. That said, a liberal from Dallas is probably still more conservative than the most conservative person in San Francisco. You do, however, want tom be near a major city. Cities usually have airport and other amenities that a full on rural area does not. Try to keep around 1 hour's drive from a major city.

Suburban areas tend to have more conservative leanings than the cities they surround. The people there usually have a house with a bit of land, or at the very least, a yard, and they like those things to look good, especially within HOAs. With that said, FUCK HOAs. People who care about the appearance of their environment and the places they live tend to care about other things too. This is why suburban areas are typically cleaner and neater than urban areas. Also, pick a suburban area that is within a city limit. Many suburban areas can be found in unincorporated county space. Take a look at places where the city limit ends: many times the sidewalk just ends and the landscaping falls apart. You will want to make sure your taxes are going towards your community. City limits also have local PD which is far better than a roaming Sheriff's deputy/county cop or state PD.

Housing prices come into play here. Whether or not you are buying, you still want to settle in areas with at least a median housing price. My experience has been that the higher the overall housing market value is in a city, the more there is a disparagement between housing costs and low-income housing; places with high value will have an area of the city where low-income housing or low-income rentals are. This usually means the decent rentals in the city are high-priced too. A median-value area is less stark in the contrast.

Start with that info and do your research.

Really comes down to pay relative to the cost of living. You could double my pay and fail to convince me to move to some places because of how obnoxious the housing market is.

Broadly I'd avoid living in the middle of an urban center like LA, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, etc, but even then you can usually find a place that's nice to live in about an hour out.
