I also realize that because I am a woman that some of you might feel hesitant to "trust me" or take me seriously on this post.

Contrary to the frequent public smears of MRAs by feminism, the vast majority of us have no issues with women and no problem trusting women.

It's only feminists that we have a problem with, due to their hatred of men and implacable opposition to men's rights. Thankfully the percentage of women who identify as feminists is down in the teens now and continuing to fall every year. I hope the world is rid of that hateful ideology in my lifetime.

This post just doesn't ring true for me. My world is a shitty place a lot of the time and saying it isn't, doesn't make it so.

This is one of the reasons I don't like to talk about how I am feeling and what I think. This kind of positive message is great for some people and I don't want to take away from that. I don't want to undermine other people happiness.

I mean, it's nice of you to say that, but me believing any of that won't change the reality. Kind words on the internet won't put the woman who abused me in jail, or grant me access to local support groups. The thought is appreciated, but it's one drop of kindness in sea of hatred and discrimination.

I'm not sure why anyone would distrust you for saying these things because you're a woman. Men value hearing some of these things, particularly from women.

It is a little like a canned pep talk, but I appreciate it nonetheless.

Thank you. It helps to hear these things sometimes. If people care about men, it's for something they've done, or for some other characteristic (that they're gay, or black, or muslim, or pretty much anything than that they are men). We go from being made of snips and snails to being patriarchal oppressors and potential rapists without any island of respite where we're told that we're of any value at all.

In particular, young boys need to hear this. Girls are told that they are powerful and can achieve anything, but boys are told nothing at while while being expected to be quiet and complacent. Decades of educational unfairness later? The concern is that, "Wah, there aren't enough "educated" men for me to marry."

PS, I'm glad that you're a woman -- because women's voices on gender issues carry more weight than men's, even when we're discussing men's issues, and because you're another woman who isn't asleep to the cultural lies we're fed. I think you'll find very few misogynists here, despite what you've been told.

I appreciate the sentiment... but you are wrong.

Men do not have any inherent value. Nature has dictated that men are disposable and are useful as experimentation to progress the species along.

This type of thinking leads to weak men (who women are not attracted to) and these types of men will find their options to breed greatly diminished.

We do not do a service to men to deny biology and pretend that we have the same value that women do. Societally, we can try to adjust for that, but let's not do so by turning men into women.

Instead, we need to recognize men's strengths and celebrate them. We need to push back against the feminist ideas that you've listed and tell them to just fuck right off.

Men are only as strong as they are forced to be.. and a man that is broken by his life is easily replaced, as nature intended. This doesn't mean that men should be abused, but that the very act of standing up to it, in all it's forms is what makes a man strong.

Nonsense. It's so nice to hear this kind of thing from women. It shows you have sympathy for the issues men face when so many women laugh at and dismiss the idea that men have issues too. Thanks for your post.
