I wish men had a group like the FSM church that always challenged these sexist practices with a fair and balanced counterpoint.

It should be a default solution: if women get a private space, men should also get an equally equipped and accessible private space.

The university of kansas is public and if you are American you should demand that it be unfunded.

They are forcing non-muslims to follow a muslim belief - it is now a religous school and should not be funded with public money.

Well that's a clearly defined violation of Title IX

Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 is a federal law that states: "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."

I just wish I went there because i'd just walk right on in and if someone tried to yell at me i'd just ask them if they are assuming my gender. The worst thing that could happen is they kick me out and then I'd just get to sue them for discrimination.

That is a terrible, one-sided article that doesn't even explore the possibility that anyone on campus might object to that.

I'm sure there are people at the University of Kansas who object based on the principles of separating church and state: A public university should not be making special accommodations for one religious group.

And I'm sure there are people who object based on the principles of equality between the sexes: Men and women should have equal access to equal facilities, not special access only for one sex.

For a news outlet to write such an article and not even explore those objections is outrageous.

I don't think this a problem for men's rights. Any group that has a need for a private/closed space should be able to have it. Is the implicit issue that if a group of male Muslim students wanted a segregated space it would be seen as an issue?
