She's fat an unattractive, and that seems to be litmus test for how much jail time a woman gets, so.... yeah.

This is a good sentence. If the woman rejects the desk she will get 13 years, suspended down to eight. Usually women walk away with probation only.

If it was a male, it would be life time registry. 25 to life in jail.

As a sidenote, I'm always glad to see when the boys report their own abusers. It's too under-reported with too many boys trying to justify the experience or who are told by everyone else that they should feel positively about it that they don't end up reporting it

It's good that he recognizes it for what it is and is hopefully getting help now

You can't simply state the crime and punishment and ask if it's fair. Has she ever done this before? Does she have a criminal record? I'm sure there are other factors judges consider.

It's a start, however I have yet to see men getting a time limit on the registry. I've only seen sentences of permanent registration

Lapeyrouse would have to serve two years without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence, be on supervised probation for five years

Will probably be let out early.

Sounds about right ish.... I personally believe it should be more but that's about the norm.

That entirely depends on what is meant by "raping". The article doesn't say at all.
