Recently I was talking to a female cousin about the subject turned to Victoria Beckham's success as a fashion designer. I said that Victoria probably has some other woman doing the actual designing and just puts her name on it, and that she was the most useless of the Spice Girls (who I never really liked anyway), and she's only still relevant because of the man she married. My cousin sneered that I was intimidated by Victoria Beckham's success. That made me laugh. I told her that if that was the case, then why would I be a fan of [various women who are actual musicians]? My cousin couldn't answer that.

I was also accused to this by a female friend when we were discussing an episode of Game of Thrones. I expressed my disappointment that Sandor Clegane, AKA The Hound, was defeated by Brienne Tarth in a brutal duel. I liked Clegane as he was a very entertaining character, and I thought that he should have survived. My friend thought I was being sexist for thinking that a man shouldn't have defeated a woman.
