It is hilarious to me that a man is getting "credit" for this from feminists everywhere when it is a woman that wrote it.

You're insulting every woman who was forcibly restrained in a jail cell with a feeding tube down her throat for your right to vote, less than 100 years ago.

Women got the vote handed to them on a silver platter. Male suffrage was, and still is in some places, conditional on service in the military. A man has to agree to lay his life down in defense of his country if he wants the vote. In 1819, 15 men at a demonstration for male suffrage were gunned down. (The Peterloo Massacre.)

Indeed, before 1832 only 1 in 7 men could vote, in 1832 it became 1 in 5 and in 1884 it became 2 in 3. Men and women got universal suffrage at the same time, except women weren't beaten or shot in the process. Indeed, women would've gotten the vote the second they asked for it, were it not for the millions of women who were against female suffrage.

Just more feminist propaganda by yet another useful idiot.

I don't think these "I am not a feminist" women are against first and second wave feminism they are against radical third wave feminism that is destroying society and they don't want to be attached to that title. Sure give me the right to vote, education, the right to my body and equal human rights but I couldn't give a shit about "banning bossy" or "man-spreading." Calling yourself a feminist today is about female superiority not about equality between the genders so if you really care about equality you are an egalitarian not a feminist.

The article is a bit lean on actual information, citing that he's made arguments for feminism in the past and then citing a few statements. But, were I to go based on what I read, it seems like the guy has a pretty good bead on what feminism is supposed to be about.

I'm given cause to wonder if there's not a disconnect between people stating "I'm not a feminist" and what he perceives it as. As we well know, there's a division among feminists that, in its most basic form, takes the sides of actual feminism vs angry militant circlejerk feminism. I don't know where the "I'm not feminist" thing came from, or what its actual intention is, but that'd be the question I'd ask: Is it a result of a disagreement with the sensationalized form of feminism we all love to hate, or a disagreement with the feminism we can agree with (which is to say a push for actual equality).

Seems like this short article left me with far more questions than answers.
