More importantly it's a sign of ill health and decreased fertility. The human (actually all) reproductive strategies evolved around rewarding those who were more attracted to healthier and more fertile specimens.

If your DNA coded for being attracted to unhealthy/infertile people those genes weren't passed on. It's why most people are heterosexual and attracted to healthy looking people.

Your attempt to moralize obesity shows you've bought into the false narrative of "fatness = gluttony + sloth" promoted by the MSM/Diet Industry/Grain Companies/Sugar Companies/Government/Corrupt Professional Bodies/Progressive Public Health 'Intellectuals' complex. The actual cause of the obesity epidemic is the upsurge in sugar and starch consumption which has been a direct consequence of US Government nutritional and agricultural policy. I lost 30lbs on a super-low-carb diet, without doing any exercise or enduring any hunger, so I think this whole "fat people just have no willpower" thing is idiotic.

The more accurate view is that fat people are fat because of bad dietary advice and bad public policy (all of which are sustained by progressive activist Public Health 'intellectuals', subsidy-sucking agribusinesses with friends in Congress, and an overall culture which thinks of obesity in moral rather than biological terms).

But anyway, let's get to the point; of course it is totally ridiculous for feminists to argue that man who doesn't want to fuck a fat chick is being sexist or misogynist or "fat shaming." I don't find emaciated, balding chemotherapy patients sexually attractive; am I "cancer-shaming" or "thin-shaming" them? Of course not.

That said, moral condemnation of obesity as proof of depravity is fat shaming. But I don't think that's the interesting men's rights issue here...

What I find interesting about the fat-shaming thing from a Men's Human Rights angle: why is the Fat Acceptance movement about 95% women, and why are all the Fat Acceptance propaganda pieces about how women can be fat and beautiful...

Look at the movie you link to; women all over the place. Not a single fat male in the preview. Indeed, a theory proposed in the preview is that women are encouraged to run a calorie deficit as a way to weaken women...

Obesity is a gender-neutral condition. Where's the stuff for fat men and their acceptance? Why aren't there any "fat and handsome" campaigns? Why did that preview seem to treat the stigmatization of fat people as a women's issue?

Obesity is, for males, an emasculating condition. Why? Men are meant to be tough, stoic, self-sacrificing, hard-working/productive, physically strong and good at sport. Fat people are perceived as weak, selfish, self-indulgent, lazy, non-athletic, and a net drain on resources. As someone who's struggled with a weight problem and been bullied for it my entire fucking life, I can assure you that females are hardly the sole targets of fat-shaming.

So why? Why is the fat acceptance movement all about women when anti-fat-bias is gender-neutral?

Yet again there's the empathy gap, male disposability, the usual gender clichés lying at the base of it. Our society's constant willingness to soothe women's hurt feelings yet tell men to "man up."

You don't have to wrap it up in trying to find the reasons many people are fat to excuse not finding them attractive. Fat is ugly, nuff said. It's ugly when it's the mythological "glandular condition" and it's ugly when they simply refuse to stop stuffing their face.

Attraction is not a controllable reaction. Not finding fatty fat fat whales attractive is sufficient reason for not finding them attractive.

Besides which, every complaint about men not finding fat women attractive is invariably followed up by the same person whining that short and/or fat men are unattractive.

I'm from the MidWest (oink) but I've lived in Europe a long time. On my travels back home of course you notice that Americans in general and Midwesterners particularly are a bit portlier. Another thing I've noticed is that you see a lot of overweight American gals who still have very pretty faces which could mean that American chicks are better at makeup and face-thinning hairstyles.

In any case, it never ceased to amaze me how many of these women were really put off that I didn't seem in the least interested in fucking them. Like, "who does this guy think he is?" I don't particularly think I'm a bigot for not expressing desire for that which I don't consider desirable. And let's not even get started on their "real women have curves" brand of thin shaming aimed at their genetically luckier sistahs.

There is nothing wrong with being obese. It is not evidence of a character defect. If anyone tells you that you HAVE to be attracted to ANYONE, of any characteristic, they're inappropriately encroaching on your sexual autonomy. That said, it's wrong to shame people, women or men, for being obese or overweight.

I don't know. Seems to me we're obsessed with skinniness. Furthermore, I sometimes wonder whether women's obsession with being thin isn't precisely because fat women are more attractive and they fear it may lead to their being regarded as more sexual and therefore if lower status among their peers. Just a thought.

In any case, this fat / thin business is cultural. In Egypt, for example, mothers tell their daughters they won't be adored by men unless and until they get fat. There are institutions where young women go for the sole purpose of getting fattened up so they will be suitably attractive to men.

Even here, many men like a lady with a few extra pounds.

Disagree with title. All have self will. As for indicating comparative amount, fatties can exhibit more will in areas besides eating discipline so their exhibited will in one region makes no guarantees about their sum will as a being. Same with other unhealthy habits like smoking or cutting. Karen for example. Just cause I don't smoke doesn't mean I have more will than she does. Same consideration to fatties.
