I was discussing with a feminist blogger who claims that sex drive is a social construct and in particular male sexuality is a deranged product of the way boys are brought up. she claims hormones have a marginal role in sex drive and men become consumer of pornography and sexualized images of women because they are socialized and hard-pressured into that, not because they have a natural predisposition of being more visually responsive to images of naked young females. the discussion stemmed from a debate in which she was accusing comic books of over-sexualizing women's bodies and I replied saying that one of the main reason for that is a specific demand from male readers. that prompted me into looking for a comprehensive view on what science so far has concluded about this. if anyone can suggest me any source to look up to, that'd be great.
