It is shocking and disturbing. Keep moving forward and put the past to rest. One day the shock, sting, and disappointment will wear off.

I found being grateful for the little things made me a happier person. I focus on what was gained (e.g. golf road trips with new friends) over what was lost.

Use this as a stepping stone to a better life. It happened for me. I am proud of the mental fortitude that was built. One of many silver linings is I don’t take minor slights personally anymore. This gives me a better attitude at work.

Once you overcome divorce challenges everything else in life seems easy.

I went through the same thing but with a newborn child. The state completely fucked me over. It was so bad I couldn’t even afford to eat so I almost killed myself. Just don’t do that, it might take several years but it eventually gets better. If I can make it through that you can too.

Was just reading about this new dilemma called “walk away wives”, were women simply opt out for their best life. It’s normally a complete turnaround from the person you married. I guess now men must be on guard to this extreme change. Sounds like you tried petting a tiger and got attacked. It hurts but will all blow over soon.

I definitely feel for you I’m in the middle of my divorce and dealing with a bullshit CPO. I just went through my initial hearing, and it felt like a kangaroo court. I wasn’t even given a chance to do my statement the only silver lining I can give you is that if you’re moving out of state, just hope for a mutual no contact, they are treated differently than having a CPO. Just try to have a written statement ready so that you can at least submit to the judge. to make it clear that you want no further contact with your ex.
