I'm at eleven months and I care way more than I feel I should for my exwife. I wouldn't reconcile. But after the gaslighting and being told I wasn't attractive for ten years. Her emotional affair. Spending our tenth anniversary on a road trip with the person she was having an emotional affair with, after saying she wanted to renew our vows... Yet I still care a lot for this person. It's wierd, I've written so many motherfuckers off for so much less. I'll never talk to her again and I have a lot of shit to take care of. Yet sometimes, I still miss her, it blows. I wish I could just forget about her existence. But I guess all we can strive for is apathy and to move on with our lives, so that we can find what happiness we lost long ago. And have a shitload of fun to make up for it. I'm sorry and I hope you get to feel the relief of being free from her soon.

Be rational. This is a woman with no morals, no dignity, no honesty and no nothing good. You shouldn't touch her with a pole.
Go exercise and find a hobby.

You need to date. There are better people out there who are good women and can give you perspective.

It took me two more relationships after to realize what normal should feel like.

With that said, you do also need to work on yourself. Work out, find a hobby, focus time on you and how to enjoy being alone.

Date to help get perspective but no relationship till you've learned to be happy alone.

Sounds like you're still in a lot of pain, and feeeling the way a lot of us have after our divorce.

I don't know all the details, but hopefully you can accept your current situation and not beat yourself up about the past. Whatever it was before, it is no longer. This is your opportunity to build a new better future. You're better off now, one day you'll realize it.

The intensity is a drug man. No doubt about it.

And like a drug you have to go through rehab to recover get centered and THEN move on with life.

It will be hard dating normal people after a stay at Crazy Passion Disneyland... but after all she divorcing you means you never can really live in Disney forever.

If you haven't done so yet, read "Lose a Cheater, Gain a Life." Get it on Kindle and read it over the next few days. It won't take long. It did so much for me in terms of how to stop caring for a person who cheated on me and who did not deserve any further affection or attention from me. I bust it out again periodically when I need to be reminded of what a lying, cheating, amoral scumbag she really is. I strongly urge you to check it out. Hope you get to feeling better.
