I’m recently separated and it was all her decision but now I’m feeling stuck. We need to sell the house to get equity and move on but she refuses to sell unless she can get a mortgage and buy.

We’ll get a nice payout from the sale of our home but she’s self-employed and probably doesn’t have the income to have a lender give her a mortgage. She keeps telling me she refuses to rent.

I believe I could get a “partition of sale” letter drawn up but she’ll probably fight it and it would cost a fortune. I never wanted to split but now I feel trapped.
