Hey gang. I'm looking for some advice on finding some self-resolution regarding how I feel about my ex-wife. Sorry if this comes up a lot. Together six years, married two+, baby at height of the pandemic, moved provinces, career path changes — my mental health declined and I drank too much to deal with it. I owned it, quit drinking, got help, and did the right things to keep my family. Unfortunately, she couldn't go back to us and divorced me in the spring of 2021. Separated by province from my son and ex since, but see him as much as money and time allow.

The problem is I also see her and it's not getting easier. In fact, it may be getting harder. This woman was my world and I've been unsteady on the ground beneath my feet in the two years since. I've dated, had FWB, and tried, within my financial capabilities, to better myself and move on, but she still has my heart, though she doesn't want it at all, and I really don't know what to do about it anymore. — K. 44, N.L.
