I had a four or five day run of feeling OK. I noticed I wasn't thinking of her or the divorce or all the things I lost.

I was about to post here that "it really does get better", which is a sentiment that seemed impossible to me in the first months. I wanted to echo that message to new men here. But then I started having insane vivid dreams. Dreams of my ex. One consisted of my packing up my things and in the dream I realized I don't want this. I ran to her and said I can't do this. I love you etc.. at that moment I realized her hair was black with white stipes. I realized I was dreaming. I was there, in the dream knowing I was dreaming and therefore this wasn't real. Woke up in a cold sweat.

A couple of very lucid dreams later, I'm back to feeling defeated and lost all my momentum. There were a few random dreams that were very odd with old friends appearing and what not. I realize my brain is processing, but I don't understand the crossover from regular dreams/nightmares into lucid dreaming.

Just wondering if anyone has had a setback due to invasive lucid dreams. I made five good days of progress and my stupid brain ruined it all.
